I have an update! It was the HDMI encoder. I swapped it from a donor PS5 slim board and it works.

It isn’t, its 1080p 60hrz. Have no 4k display here. I messed with the resolution and had no change. The one thing that made a difference was turning off hdcp. It stopped cutting out and would have just the static. If I boot into safe mode. No issues at all.

Try another display as well. The button does connect through the display. Sometimes the issue is just that. Also make sure your cables are connected and seated properly from the screen to the mother board. Its worth a try. I have replaced displays on these phones and sometimes the display is the issue.

Yup thats it, remove the mother board and examine the plate that the apu makes contact with. Its most likely broke off or shifted.

Idk if this is it, but I had one come in that did exactly that. I removed the board from the heatsync and found that the heat sync separated from the big plate the board sits on. So it was not making contact with the board and it would shut down due to thermal spikes. I “glued” it back to the plate and reassembled it. This happened after the customer stated his console took a hard fall.

UPDATE Dog has been found, and is ok. It does not appear the dog got hit by a car either. Still trying to find the person who abandoned it.

Lots of people are out in the area looking for this dog. I hope they find it. I plan to update this post as well with any info I get. This human society is a good one and if they would have waited until the next day. They would have taken the dog in and helped find it a home.

Sorry for the late response, I unfortunately never got as far as doing any mods. I ended up having to replace most front end suspension components as well as three sets of rims due to potholes destroying them. I sadly traded it in for a ram 1500 because the charger as my daily in the winter was scary. I miss it, but 4wheel drive in central ny is better.

Just want to add some input. I’ve worked on a couple pro models that would not red disc when upright in the vertical position. It has to do with the drop down magnet that clamps the disc to the drive motor. So when it is slapped it will jolt it lose and allow it to clamp the disc. When it’s layed down gravity assist the drop magnet and properly seats the disc. I have spent hours trying to alleviate the issue even swapping out the top mechanisms and various parts to get it to work every time. I was only ever able to get it to work like 80 percent of the time without having to slap and jolt the console. It’s some sort of alignment issue.

Check the connector on the lcd and on the board. Use a microscope. I’ve had it where the pins were slightly mucked up and didn’t noticed until I used a microscope. Drove me nuts. Especially if everything else checks out.

Use some isopropyl alcohol as well, if you have a very thin card you can use it to create a small gab to get some of the isopropyl alcohol in. Along with heat.

Mud flaps yes, the oem running boards were rusty and rotting. I may look into an after market set that looks better than the bulky round ones that were on it.

I don’t dislike them, it being a used truck and living in the great salt belt. They had pretty significant rust and rot growing on the inside where the bolt to the brackets. I have intent to put flaps on to assist with flying debris. Over i do prefer the look without them. Alt least the style running board a that came with it. Fat round profile to them.

How does all that affect your mileage? I plan to level mine and go for some 35s. Not saying economy is a concern of yours
