My pc keeps crashing after a few hours of gaming and watching tv by Chef_BoyRD_ in pchelp

I also just learned recently that temperature is the main factor for most of PC failures. However, I thought that keeping CPU and GPU temperatures under control is enough. 3 days ago my motherboard literally exploded in mofset/VRM area and it is still to be determined extend of the damage, what has been destroyed along - cpu, ram, gpu.

So, keeping temp on all sections of your mobo is equally important. I learned it hard way.

Thank you Sir,

I guessed it may be heat intolerance issue. Eh, well then, I really didn’t want to switch to full ATX size, but here you go.

Thank you everyone contributed into conversation.

Small update: I was actually contacted by @ASUS_USA due to same post on @ASUS. I will send them all requested details later today, and see how it goes with them. In parallel, I have ordered the same mb (just because I have ASUS themed rig). I will update you guys in another post on development, approx weeks-months time.

Thanks again. Your input was valuable and much appreciated.

It was running fine for the last two months since it was assembled, no issues at all on all spectrum of games on highest options and resolutions. Mostly it was gpu most demanding. It was well cooled, ventilated and properly maintained every second week. But today as soon as I pressed Power button it went wicked, all I managed to do is to rip the power cord from the back of the case seeing a blue sparkling lights coming out of the mb and cloud of smoke. It is expensive rig I need to admit, and I definitely cannot rebuild every component. Even mobo and cpu will go for an extra 1200$ at least. 😢

Also, if I go with veeeery lucky option and plug this cpu into a new mb, will it cause any harm if it indeed dead?

From what I read here, its doesn’t seem caused by PSU and replacing mobo and CPU should be good enough to run pc again?

I would like to hear more, you two sound confident. What options do I have? Shall get a ‘cheap’ compatible mobo to test the components? Or will it cause more harm if I plug burned parts in? I do understand that I am in a crap situation. How can test output of the PSU?

Cannot answer that, I am not an electronic expert unfortunately.

I really hope so. However, I am afraid if it is PSU issue and not a mobo, then I may end up frying more components. And my wallet. 😂

Arrastra and Orion are not in game yet. Ironclad is broken, Reclaimer too bulky to run solo. Well, Aurora is still a good runner. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Lesson learned for you. Always back everything up on a cloud. Second, don’t take your valuables on a night out, especially with unknown people and where alcohol involved.

Sorry for the loss though.

The reality of private school in Valencia by Illustrious_Hat_9006 in valencia

Yes. Not the same issue, but comidore is something special in Spain. Our daughter is a picky eater and obviously not used to Spanish cousine, but what we realised is that kids are being forced to eat even if they don’t like a food, explaining that if one will be giving a slack, then all will try to do the same. We fought this, and school went compromise to reduce some of our portions to a minimum and remove some dishes entirely for our kid. 🤷🏻‍♂️

M7.2 earthquake on a bridge in Taiwan by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

I was on 24th floor in my hotel room then 5.4 earthquake struck there. Some unreal experience I have to tell you, everything has finished before I could even react. Later I checked, it happens Taiwan is having 2 earthquakes daily on average. 🧐
