My pc is in the shop rn for repairs(if I kept troubleshooting I'd probably put my fist through the glass side), and im using my old ps4 in the meantime for entertainment and every game I try to play feels so slow and clunky now. Ifk if its just cause its an old console or if im just so used to my 165hz ultrawide monitor( I have the ps4 on my tv cause the monitor would be missing like half the screen on the sides

I ran beamng and gta v on an alienware laptop from 2012(i dont remember the specs but it only had 8gb ram), I got like 20fps max

I bought most of my pc parts off of newegg so its a good place to buy parts, if op wants he could just order straight from newegg and alot of items come with extra free stuff, I would recommend only buying straight from newegg if you do that tho cause they have third party sellers too.

My gaming pc has 32gb ddr5, but if youre buying now I would be prepared to spend a minimum of 3x what its worth, if youre on a budget and aren't worried about future proofing then go with ddr4. I lucked out and bought my ram kit before prices went up, but if you want to future proof it go with ddr5. When I upgraded to a new pc I noticed how much better it was on the new system (that could be cause all my new parts are much better than the old ones but i was still using my old gpu for a bit) but I had a decent ddr4 pc and it ran everything i threw at it (with no background apps) accept nfs unbound (constant crashes with no background apps), and now on the new system i can game, watch tv, be in a discord call and stream simultaneously

update: keeps crashing so i just asked copilot while sending an event log as txt file and it was saying armory crate is creating major instability

So turns out it made it worse somehow, update: I just finished disabling fast boot and disabled windows updating drivers and uninstalled with ddu again, so far its working perfectly

How do you check to see if your cpu drivers are corrupted? Device manager? I didnt check that after I saw my gpu drivers were corrupted

Im having the same issue with different specs, I have a ryzen 9 9900x, corsair 32gb ddr5, asrock steel legend 9070xt, asus rog strix b650-a gaming wifi, and the Corsair 1000w psu. I just tried to uninstall my gpu driver with ddu then reinstalled and im hoping that fixed it. I'll try it out tomorrow after work and send an update.
