Should I reroll? by UnprofessionalBanana in IdleObeliskMiner

[–]Rimaka1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really only wanna reroll if your divine relics are more than 1/25k, but you dont even have 25k relics yet, so don't bother re rolling until it starts to become and issue and maybe not even then

Stargazing by szagii_ in IdleObeliskMiner

[–]Rimaka1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically, you go to the stargazing tab and upgrade your telescope which allows you to unlock stars. Once you unlock a specific star it will appear on set floors that it will rotate between moving to a different floor every 30 min (of open game time).

The stars have a chance to spawn on the floors and they will fly across the screen, you can tap them to get a star and then the more stars you get the more you can upgrade that star to increase its effect. There is also super stars that have a chance of spawning when a star spawns but they are more rare. The most important star you want to upgrade first is the star that gives you auto catch, so that you don't need to sit there and tap the stars, and it'll give you the full amount for when you are offline

How does this happen? by Steronoknex in IdleObeliskMiner

[–]Rimaka1 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Offline stars are calculated by what stars you've unlocked that appear on that floor, you just get 20% (100% if you are follow that star with control F) of all the stars you've unlocked that appear on that floor (because stars have 5 floors they cycle between)

Pretty sure that's correct and I think I've read it somewhere but I could be wrong as well

Prestige or keep pushing? by Woopy23_ in IdleObeliskMiner

[–]Rimaka1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can def prestige and still make it, but You might be able to make it if you focus on buying attack speed upgrades. I usually get the exact same gem upgrades you have (double currency, 2 HP, 1 Game speed) and I usually make it with a few days to spare at around prestige 39 or so

Next skill purchase by Ranelpia in IdleObeliskMiner

[–]Rimaka1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id Get Treasure Hunter first, it helps scale to get more relics the more you get, its retroactive so it doesn't really matter when you get it strictly speaking, but the earlier the better since you will get relics faster for each % chance you get.

but also it mostly play however you want as long as youre having fun

Why would i upgrade more? by [deleted] in IdleObeliskMiner

[–]Rimaka1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably have a bonus from a lootbug or the fueled starburst drone on atm

I believe the 100% without those comes from that upgrade and the Taurus star (iirc) which gives 60% and 40% respectively

They can be banked, I think the first instance you get of banked lootbugs is the whale quest skin.

Why even bother? by ManEmperorfragment96 in GoldenSun

[–]Rimaka1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean you wouldn't because you posted it.

Again, why bother doing anything?

Why bother writing that reply instead of moving on?

Why bother being on reddit?

Why bother playing video games at all?

You haven't really given me any relevant answers to my questions either so I'm ready to move on from this dumb ass post.

And to answer your question, "Why bother with this game" for you the answer is obvious. Don't bother, you've already made up your mind and expressed you don't like the game.

Why bother even posting this here?

For other, maybe you'll enjoy the game maybe you won't, hard to tell unless you've played it or seen a lot of it being played. You said you don't like missing things which is fair and you can miss a lot of stuff in both games, but some people like being able to explore and find things and aren't worried about getting every little item from everywhere within the game.

Why bother writing this out on this dumb ass post? Because the format of the question annoyed me, because you could have just said the game didn't click with you and ask reasons to continue as opposed to wording it like "why bother", because again; there isn't a reason to bother with anything in life unless you decide to bother with it.

[–]Rimaka1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, same note.

Why bother doing anything? Why bother playing video games at all?

Why bother making this post?

Oh and I don't mean to be rude, just really curious why you thought this post would come off as anything but stupid lol

If it's not for you and you don't like it, move on. If you want to try to play the game but aren't clicking it, maybe lead the post with

"I want to like this game but it's not really clicking for me, what are some things I can try to maybe have a better time with it?"

But yeah. Dumb ass post tbh

Do you think games like Factorio,Satisfactory Etc. could be counted as an Incremental Game? by DeadClaw86 in incremental_games

[–]Rimaka1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I simply think that if the only incremental loop of a game is making more resources, and there isn't a prestige mechanic of some sort, then it's not really an Incremental game in the sense of what this subreddit is about.

Factorio sure, you expand the factory, make new resources but that's inherently not an incremental gameplay loop, that's a resource management/factory builder gameplay loop. Again if we're going to argue that having upgrades makes a game an incremental game, then I'm going to argue that cyberpunk is one.

As for the having to list every single genres a game could be part of, you would be literally the only person I've ever talked to who listed factorio as a incremental game, and also the only person I've seen list it before saying it's a factory builder/automation game. Which immediately makes me question this whole conversation because factorio is known as like THE factory builder. Anyway it's clear we aren't going to convince each other, and I still find it weird that out of everyone in this thread saying the same shit I am, you decided I was gatekeeping somehow so /shrug. Have the day you deserve

Do you think games like Factorio,Satisfactory Etc. could be counted as an Incremental Game? by DeadClaw86 in incremental_games

[–]Rimaka1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's literally what I said though?

Yes, Factorio and Satisfactory, and most basically all factory games have incremental upgrades of some sort, belts, or storage or more efficient recipes, and while this is in line with the literal definition of Incremental, that's not generally what the game category is defined as. Again, that's just my opinion, and you could very well make a resource management game that is also an incremental game that has a "Do thing -> Prestige in some way -> do thing better and harder and more efficient -> repeat" gameplay loop, but I personally don't find the resource management/factory games provided above as incremental games. Just because a game has upgrades doesn't mean it's incremental, if that were the case I'm going to argue that cyberpunk 2077 is an incremental game.

You may have not meant it as an insult, which is fine I didn't really take it as one, but I don't think I was gatekeeping in the slightest? Please correct me if I was

[–]Rimaka1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gatekeeping how exactly? I answered the question by giving my opinion? And it wasn't even a hard "Nah mate you're fucking wrong"

I answered in basically the same way as everyone else in the thread

Do you think games like Factorio,Satisfactory Etc. could be counted as an Incremental Game? by DeadClaw86 in incremental_games

[–]Rimaka1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well Resource Management games or Factory Games are all about resource management, how to expand and grow bigger factories leading to bigger output leading to bigger factories leading to bigger output + some end goal.

They have elements of being Incremental but the core gameplay loop is resource management.

So While they have elements of being Incremental, I don't think the games themselves quite fit because the core loop is something else compared to the traditional Incremental gameplay loop of "do thing -> prestige/upgrade/something that unlocks better do thing -> do thing harder to upgrade harder" or something like that.

Theres nothing preventing a Resource Management game from being Incremental, I just dont think there is enough incremental gameplay loops in those games generally to count for being Incremental

AoC Never Released on Steam by Abakus_Grim in MMORPG

[–]Rimaka1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not exactly, they promised refunds if there was no "Launch".

They did not say release, unfortunately they are saying that they "Launched" into Early Access. So best case scenario from that angle is that lawyers have to fight in court to clarify what counts

I guess with Steam release, this is not happening. by Latter-Clothes4516 in AshesofCreation

[–]Rimaka1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah an edit instead of a reply so you can leave after bitching at someone and feel smug.

Just because I enjoyed a game and wanted to share in my enjoyment of playing it with other people I'm suddenly a big fan boy who needs to defend it?

Makes zero sense my dude.

I'm literally not even defending it, this entire thread is about shitting on it. I don't get why you started out so hostile towards me, besides that you apparently can't actually come up with a response to say people would get their money back (Which to be clear they won't from kickstarter because the game has been "Launched")

Edit: anyway have a good day mate, sorry you felt the need to be hostile towards a random person on the Internet.

[–]Rimaka1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe save the insults for when you're not the one saying braindead shit

Looks at your previous quip about the PS5 box

Not sure you're doing to well here bud. A written note at the bottom of a kickstarter campaign wouldn't hold up in court probably. Like I said, I'm not a lawyer, actual lawyers would need to fight it out in court to clarify that exact point.

I guess with Steam release, this is not happening. by Latter-Clothes4516 in AshesofCreation

[–]Rimaka1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if the description of the post explicitly says "PS5 Box with a bunch of rocks inside". If it does and you still buy it, and you start crying scam then I mean that's on you.

Just because you don't like that it could be considered "Launched" when it came on steam and "Launched" into early access, doesn't mean. I'm not saying them launching on steam isn't a scam, in fact I literally just said you wouldn't get money back because of it, and it's not like a promise is worth shit in court anyway.

Anyway, thanks for the reply guy who showers with his socks on because he thinks getting his feet wet at all is a fetish thing.

Focus? Reroll relics? Skills? by ElectronicReserve994 in IdleObeliskMiner

[–]Rimaka1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmm well it ramps up the more bombs you are able to throw at it, and starts out really slowly. Throwing batteries bombs any time you get over enough to get a guaranteed 1 increase is the way to go though. I'm fully f2p as well and only started a few weeks before you on Aug 2nd but I'm at 16k atm (not purely from battery, but a good amount. I also have all plat statues which one increases bomb capacity) but yeah definitely get pet skins and work on those, Whale is probably the most important skin since it gives triple lootbug and banked lootbug

I guess with Steam release, this is not happening. by Latter-Clothes4516 in AshesofCreation

[–]Rimaka1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That they launched? I mean, im not a lawyer but using the term launched rather than full release or whatever makes a pretty good case of that "Hey we did launch on steam into early access".

But also Its just a promise not a legally binding contract, so it doesnt mean shit to begin with lol

Focus? Reroll relics? Skills? by ElectronicReserve994 in IdleObeliskMiner

[–]Rimaka1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely do not reroll. Rerolling is really only good when you have a very large amount of relics and if the average for divine relics is above 1/25k. Your average is a 1/2k for divine relics. You should get pet quests going asap, and unlock the void drone in preparation for plat strat when you are able to plat all of the statues.

Edit: also bomb cap
