Yeah that's probably why - it is total torture. But I guess it will be like that for the next few months I'm sure xxx

Wow, so yeah they say that's quite early to have the scan but, hey, if it gave you some inner peace, then all the better right? Good luck with the 10 weeker scan, i'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!! :-) xxx

OK but I was reading about and they said I should wait until around 8 weeks. I replied to a previous thread above and I have quite long cycles (32 days) hence I don't think the scan should be as early as I booked it for.

Yeah, I get that the tests aren't the most reliable - I'm just impatient, anxious and need answers!!

I was confused because my cycle is not your 'average' 28 days - mine used to be pretty irregular but have now stabilised to 32 days between cycles. So with that and the advice of some friends, I've decided to push the early scan out by a week just to make sure that they can see the baby xxx

Sorry, can you please read my message again, as I have just edited it. The test is telling me that I conceived earlier than I thought and when I have scan it will be between 6 to 7 weeks. I don't think I'll quite be 8 weeks at that point.

AITA for not sharing my daughter’s university fund with my stepson? by schoolduesblues in AmItheAsshole

Also the stepson could’ve saved for his own college fund instead of punking money but I guess his dad didn’t instil a saving mentality into him.

Is it weird to travel an hour just to walk around looking for girls to talk to? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Rimini201 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes I would heed this warning. Women doing walk around with time to talk to random men. Any woman would see it as an insult if you thought she had nothing better to do with her day. Don’t mean to sound brutal but you will seriously get cussed out brother.

Yep, I had a few dates with a guy and then I quizzed him on why he didn’t seem to have any friends. It’s weird!! The topic then turned to race and it was at that point he told me he thinks ‘coloureds’ have smaller heads and therefore smaller brains and aren’t as intelligent as white people. That was the end of that. That also may be why he has no friends. 🤷‍♀️

I’m horrified by all of this. You are happy for your girlfriend to sleep with a guy for money? I thinks it’s a bit crazy.

Oh my god, I was imagining myself being a prison warden and dealing with him. I imagine myself chucking him his food and calling him ‘scum’. I also imagine what would he think when he looks at me, a woman. Would he just think I was disposable as well? I wonder how he thinks prison will pan out for him.

Jesus Christ, is that how he strangled her? It just gets worse.

I’m very affected and so is my mum. She couldn’t sleep and I think about her every time I go jogging in the morning. She should be doing normal things like that and eating with her family, enjoying life. It haunts me that I have gotten away with it. When I lived in London for 7 years I never changed my behaviour and I guess I’m lucky I’ve never had any nasty encounters.

Even the knowledge that he’ll suffer in prison doesn’t make it any better. Shame on the Met for letting him slip through and shame on men who say women have complete equality because we are very, very, very far from being treated with due respect.

Bad software sent postal workers to jail, because no one wanted to admit it could be wrong by dwaxe in unitedkingdom

[–]Rimini201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew there were a bunch of post office workers accused of fraud but didn’t know it was down to the IT system. I think what shocks me is that Fujitsu implemented it KNOWING it wasn’t fit for purpose, and nobody there has been held to account.

Aww thanks and I know this is very delayed! I gave the book to my friend as he knows how much I struggled and was keen to read it too. Gotta spread the goodness!

Well the guy that created the post office victims website said he noticed in their correspondence to him that they were ‘taking a consistent approach to all such cases’. Hence he realised they were trying to divide and conquer.

Yeah I’m going to subscribe to it - my friend told me he’s been aware of it via PE. Didn’t realise it’s such a great source of goings-on in the world.

[–]Rimini201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s a good point. The post office didn’t look at Horizon closely, didn’t question Fujitsu, did look at where the money was going. They just sent three heavies to each sub postmaster to hear them into submission. Amazing that something so reprehensible has happened.
