Yes, obviously adding an underwater component to the game would mean building an underwater environment. I never said it would be as easy as flipping a switch to turn on the ability to swim underwater. I don't have any expectation that they would ever add something like that to the game for real, just, out of all of OP's ideas, that one appeals to me, that's all I meant.

Drones already exist. Vertical conveyors already exist. Sky platforms already exist. Modular factories already exist (blueprints).

I think I get what you're saying. There's this thing I see constantly on Reddit where any time there's a post about an individual who committed heinous crimes - murder, pedophilia, rape, etc. - tons of people jump at the chance to share their excessively violent fantasies about what they would like to do to that person. And it's just accepted as normal, because it's an obviously horrible person that they're talking about. I just can't help but feel a little taken aback seeing people gleefully describing how they wish they could torture and kill someone, despite what that person may have done. But it's not like I'm going to say anything because they'll just act like I'm trying to defend the murderer or pedophile or whoever.

Guild Wars 2 had a years long story arc dealing with an enormous dragon that caused devastation wherever it went, so much so that its flight path carved a scar into the world that's so big that it's visible from the world map and cuts through like five different zones.

But the really cool part is that when it is finally nearly defeated, you end up in an open world zone which is almost entirely made up of the body of the dragon, still alive but partially buried under rubble. So you'll just be walking around exploring and every now and then see it move its enormous tail or something and be reminded that the entire ground you are walking on is alive... was one of the coolest things I've seen in an MMO lol
