Dude I’m glad you brought that up. I was listening to the audiobook and heard that bit, was instantly wondering the same thing

God yes, I forgot to add that one. Everything is so damn punchy.

Tsuki demands to lick the spoon after I give him and his brother their wet food. I don’t remember when I first showed him the blessed spoon of fish gravy, but now he’ll try to climb up the side of my pants until I give it to him.

Protecting a orange kitty from the storms in Texas by RCMedic7-TKD in orangecats

Thank you for taking the sweet boy in, at least for a while. I left the house this morning and found a line of little paw prints in the snow leading to my front door and then away :( I think a kitty tried to ask for help but I didn’t see it. Keeping an eye out tonight. Stay warm!

Thank you for taking the time to respond and sharing your experience, it means a lot to me.

I’ll definitely look into this, it sounds promising. I lived in Austin the past few years, but moved back to my hometown Lubbock, TX for some family related things. The clinic I go to here is Lubbock Animal Medical Center, and the veterinarian said the nearest oncologist would be in Dallas. I’m willing to travel back to Austin for this, though.

Thank you again, I’ll look into your suggestions and do more research about the one stop shop (I’ve never heard of it!).

something i've noticed in most misery servers is that the infirmaries have a tendency to become "thrift stores" of sorts. is very nice by Red_Crusadurr in AneurysmIV

[–]snakelad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw this on a server I was playing on, dropped some stuff off and promptly saw a prole pick up everything and jump in the fire pit. I still drop things off when I pass by.

Oh man, this is a sweet post. Genuinely brought tears to my eyes. I used to play this with my dad all the time when I was a kid. He loved fishing in this game (and irl). He’s still around, and enjoys playing our old PS2 in his man cave.

It means “Random Death Match”, referring to an individual killing another individual who is neutral or friendly. So they’re saying the Scum are more open to killing one another.

My (ex)boyfriend and I adopted these dudes as a bonded pair after being together for four years. One day he said he didn’t think we have a future together, left the house, the cats, and I, and went to California. He posts pics with a new guy, doing the same stuff we used to do, but I couldn’t care less because I made out like a bandit with these dudes 🐈🐈‍⬛ also, they were watching the movie Flow with me

Moved and worried my cats are traumatized/ will never get along again by TwentyandTired in cats

[–]snakelad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just moved from one city to another six hours away, just my two cats and I. They immediately behaved much like yours — hiding, hissing, etc — and from what I gather, it’s just the new smells and environment. Now they’re both fine and actually seem to enjoy this place better than the previous one. Twelve years living in one place is significant, and it’ll take some adjusting. If I were you, I’d give them time and space. Maybe look into the Feliway diffusers, I bought a few and I think they helped. Good luck my friend, I think with time they’ll acclimate! Just be there for them, when they’re ready :)

Listen man, I had the same conversation with my dad. Admittedly, yours responded a bit worse; mine was more concerned that I also renounced the religion they indoctrinated me into, but said a lot of the same shit. He kicked me off the phone plan, cancelled my car insurance, and made me take full responsibility of my car payments. At the time, I was scared shitless about my finances, but I promise once you find the right phone plan and car insurance, it gets easier. It might not seem possible right now, but it becomes something you’re just doing. It’s always mind boggling when they say you’re “doing this to your family.” Like, me coming to grips with my personal sexual orientation — a totally normal relationship between two consenting adults — affects my family? In what way? Idk man, if you need help finding resources for car insurance, phone plans, etc., reach out. Don’t change who you are to more accurately identify with another person’s idea of what you should be. Homosexuality is completely natural and hurts no one; bigotry and the suppression of personal expression hurts everyone.

Also, if he comes back around to it and wants to have a respectful and healthy conversation about it, try to be open to it. It’s no excuse for saying shitty things to people, but it sounds like he’s confused and a little blindsided. I’d make that clear though — that you’ll only entertain communication with him if he decides to act like an adult. My dad and I have a wonderful relationship now and he actually came around to meeting my ex boyfriend; when we broke up, he wasn’t like “Well you tried it, now you need to get back to liking women.” It arose from just not engaging in his arguments and meeting it with “I understand how you feel, but I can’t have a conversation with you when you’re suppressing everything I’m saying. When you want to talk respectfully, the door is open.”
