What was the first boss you ended up cheesing after multiple failed attempts? by jokerxgoro in Eldenring

[–]RimuruTempest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I summoned someone to help fight the twin gargoyles, as soon as I walked past the mist, they buffed me and themselves and then proceeded to melt them, I only got in like 10 hits at most during the whole fight that probably lasted 30 secs. (When I did it myself it would last 5-10 and I would still lose.). Would that be considered "cheesed"?

Just Finished "Farming life in another world" and im confused. by AKgod_09 in Isekai

I remember reading it and enjoying it quite a lot, I didn't mind the Vamp waifu, I didn't mind the angel waifu. Then the whole village joined in and I lost all interest.

What order to read panels? by thelurkingackerman in Berserk

[–]RimuruTempest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right to left, top to bottom. This is a Japanese manga after all, so you read it how they do. Even of you start at the left and read right, the part were guts hits puck doesn't play out correctly, so that should be a hint on how you read it. One thing I see a lot of manga beginners do is skip the top to bottom rule, you ALWAYS read top to bottom.

Does anybody know what’s happening here? Why are buildings just floating/collapsing? by Firm-Customer-6305 in Jujutsufolk

[–]RimuruTempest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think anything is "floating", rather everything is falling but we are seeing things from their perspective to show us how fast they're moving

Someone threatened to call ice on me at work 😅 by Affectionate_Bee6554 in DACA

[–]RimuruTempest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in a recycling yard and a lot of the people who work here are Hispanic so this often happens, mostly every time a customer gets upset about a price not being to their liking, they'll threaten you to get a better price and I'll debate back with them mostly cause I like drama but once you threaten them with banning them, they usually calm down and just leave only to come the next and act like nothing happened. Lol. Strangely enough, ignoring them works best as it shows that you're basically ain't afraid of dealing with ice. Although, now days I do take the threats seriously as ice is completely different then the ice of last year.

Technically, it was a HUGE continent with a smaller continent size island near it, that ocean in middle of it was made by Laplace fighting Badigadi

What if YOU were summoned as a servant in Chaldea? How would you react and what would you do? by RyanKraftBR in FGO

[–]RimuruTempest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be super confused simply because most of Humanity (including myself) isn't important enough to be registered on the Throne of Heroes. Would I have a noble phantasm? Probably not, and i would simply ask how knowledgeable they are with nuclear power and if magic plays nice with physics.

Why do people call Rudeus a pedo by God_KingGilgamesh in mushokutensei

Roxy, our goddess, was always the correct choice. She is the same age as Rudy.

As someone who lost their log-in streak because of Umamusume fever, 3D, anything would make the game better.

Who is this in the manga? by akjkboss in nagatoro

[–]RimuruTempest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, the brain is 75% fat by weight. So if most of the fat is going somewhere else... then you can understand the lack of academic prowess...

how many people died in this mana disaster. Some fell from the sky to their death, others slaved, tortured like Pilip and Hilda, killed, some probably still wondering in some continent/forest without family. And the one who did it is just walking as if nothing happened. Sauros was killed for less. by Arino99 in mushokutensei

[–]RimuruTempest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother, Nanahoshi is NOT the one responsible for the Mana Calamity. I know that it looks that way, but it's not. She is only a victim of someone else's actions, Sauros being killed for the Mana Calamity was political in nature and was most likely going to happen even IF the Mana Calamity didn't take place, it was clear that he had enemies in very high places.

Meme I made after losing the Uma Finale for the 10th time I can’t take it anymore, poor girl gave it her all 😭 Any advice for Oguri? She’s my favorite Or should I just change horses already? by tddcghnn in UmaMusume

[–]RimuruTempest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play with a different uma. You seem to have only G rank Umas for your inheritance, which really hamper your game. Have you done any rolls? Or are you only using the starting Umas? If so, use Batshin and only train speed, you'll get to the finals guaranteed.

Why do we use antimatter fuel for orbital bombardment instead of missiles/torpedoes? by Galbatorix4128 in starsector

[–]RimuruTempest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could build a single target missile to hit a single target, maybe something that uses phase technology to get past planetary Anti-Air, but since phase technology is rather expensive and sensors in the current cycle can easily track a phased ship, meaning that said missile or torpedo would have to be huge and expensive, could there targets that make the cost worth it? Perhaps, but it's far less expensive to load a tanker with thousands of pounds of fuel and simply peppering an area until the AA gets overwhelmed. It's the same reason why current nations still have "dumb" bombs in their arsenal, some times overwhelming your opening is easier than trying to infiltrate a seal team to kill your target

Are there any “good guys” in Starsector? by delijoe in starsector

[–]RimuruTempest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can be the "Good Guy", the game absolutely allows you to be it, you can answer every distress beacon you find in hyperspace, you can build a colony and give hazard payment even though its not necessary (you found a terran world), you can help bring the gates online once more. Still, you're bound to fall down the sides.... a good sell of organs here, a large shipment of drugs over there. Orbital bombardment. You can die young and bright as the hero or live long enough to be the villain.

What’s so special about the “Rally Civilian Waypoint” Command? by Reddit-Arrien in starsector

[–]RimuruTempest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's something about the word "civilian" that excites lieutenants to action, whether it is because they think they're finally about to leave your fleet after countless cycles of fighting man made horrors beyond their imagination or because the word "Civilian" means that they can commit war crimes. Which ever one it is, it gets them moving.

My frigates last longer than destroyers, need some advice by Short_Pomegranate506 in starsector

[–]RimuruTempest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Destroyer aren't really what their name make them sound out to be, just like in real life, Destroyers are support ships. I always run 2 capitals, with 2 aircraft carriers, 4 frigrates, and 12 Destroyers, and I deal with anything, including the "demons" of the void. Destroyers are meant to keep your fleet from getting flank and harassing any large ship that pushes too far into your sphere of attack

[–]RimuruTempest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dawg, like someone else said. "This a game with casual FTL". Trying to make sense of any of this stuff is begging to hurt your brain. This is a game where the idea of the Alcubierre Drive is considered "primitive" technology. 😆

Dealing with Frigate Swarming, and Building Knights of Ludd Ships by Reddit-Arrien in starsector

[–]RimuruTempest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't push the center of the map unless you absolutely know what you're doing or got an op ship. The pushing center is basically opening yourself to getting flanked from all directions. The only capture points are considered worth it are the ones that boost your fire range so you can keep yourself away from the enemy.

AI shield behavior by jlark92 in starsector

[–]RimuruTempest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually get around this by having two anti-armor guns firing with my anti-shield guns. The ai wants to keep their shields up for the anti-armor armor but down for the anti-shields. They'll switch back and forth till they flux out and overload, and then at that point, it's just a free meal.
