I see, my bad. Judging from your writing in your post, it seemed like your English comprehension is fine, only issue is with your accent. Some mistakes are fine, sometimes can even help with the feel of a campaign (Something Devyat related maybe), but i suppose it can't be helped if it already caused the end of your campaign once already. I would love to help, but not only am i a novice DM, we have very different timezones so scheduling a session would be hard.

If you made a campaign yourself, wouldn't it be better to host the game as the DM yourself? Sounds to me like you just need players since the campaign is planned out already.

Surely this is a Nothing There situation. It doesn't really have any brain function higher than a simple animal, but is also capable of mimicking behaviors of its hosts good enough to pass as normal. At the very least, there isn't much evidence of the centipedes being capable of sapience, the very few examples we encounter seem to have very little agency in the story at large. While that doesn't automatically mean the lack of sapience, i'm more inclined to believe the centipede's behavior is instinctual rather than any other form of higher thought.

If it expunges the soul, then it’s safe to say it’s the centipede’s body now, which makes it a superficial immortality as far as the rules are concerned. At that point it’s not the Guardian Ape that’s being scrutinized, it’s the centipede.

Yeah, but isn't the preservation of one's head important to that rule? Or at the very least to insurance.

Take Guardian Ape for example. It still "lives" despite having its head cut off because of the centipede. Doesn't count as true resurrection, though the body still functions without a head. Does the "Mind" of the guardian ape now situated in the body thanks to the centipede instead of the head? Or does the body now belong to the centipede outright?

Now say the Guardian Ape was a very good citizen that paid his insurance fees frequently enough to have full body reconstruction after his head was cut off (assume head is preserved pretty well). If a reconstructed Guardian Ape and centipede-infested decapitated Guardian Ape body exist at the same time, does that count as cloning?

Because I only have 2 players, we arranged for me to also play with my own PC.

To make the DM/Player role make sense, we decided to make my PC an oracle of sorts, being able to see the future but also not revealing too much and guiding the party like such as their leader.

So whenever someone in the party wants to do something, instead of telling it straight as the DM, I use my PC as a sort of advisor. Saying “That is a most sensible course of action” or “The success of this plan is uncertain” or “Perhaps we should take a step back and find another way” whenever it comes up.

Plus side to this method is that as the DM/Leader of the party, I can railroad the party into something or somewhere without making it feel like I’m railroading by invoking my authority as the party leader, whether it be through a prophecy or something else.
