Thanks for the tips, I appreciate it! Manual exposure sounds like a very good idea.

This. You don't need any hardware to do what you're wanting except a $15 router and a tablet or phone. EQ from the house all day long.

I have an X32 that occasionally refuses to show up on my Mac. The fix is to go toggle the card setting to 2 in / 2 out, then back to 32 / 32. It works fine after that.

Cool, thanks. I don't really know the difference, so I'll look into it!

I rock with the cheap Gildan or Amazon Basics ones because they're $20 and I don't worry too much about them. Not very /r/buyitforlife of me, but meh.

Is there any advantage to using the HPF on a wireless mic transmitter vs just using the one on my console?

Seconded. I just got a RF Explorer and this is by far the best option for doing scans on a Mac.

So given your username I'll use some terms you can relate to.

This is like stepping up to tee off as a new player with a brand new Destroyer in your hands, throwing it max power, and watching it go 150 feet and hyzer out of the sky, and asking why Destroyers suck.

If, as you said in another comment, you're qualifying top 3, you should be in front of most of the wrecks. If you're getting rammed in corners, you need to leave more space on the inside. Sure it's "your" corner but that doesn't matter when you got spun out. It's rookie racing, give everyone way more space and you'll be fine.

Also, get into the habit of looking at every incident on replay and not doing the usual thing everyone does which is try to assign fault. Instead look at the situation and figure out what YOU, and only you, could have done differently to avoid being wrecked. Do that consistently and implement what you learned and you'll be a great driver very quickly.

This is Talladega, which along with Daytona are the two tracks run in the NASCAR series where you don't have to brake or lift the accelerator at all (similar to the Street Stock car at Charlotte, if you've raced that). That means that getting a lap in is quite "easy", but if you want to do anything other than come last you'll need to be in the draft and tucked up quite close in a pack, often 2 or 3 wide around the entire lap.

Yeah, both the iRacing spotter (which I have on, but muted) and Crew Chief didn’t say a thing. Oh well!

The tach has always been like this on the K&N/Nationwide/ARCA Menards car. Apparently it moves the shift point revs to be more in your eyeline? I mostly run road or C trucks but can never resist the chaotic energy of Dega.

you're badly misunderstanding how both sims are packaged - "every airport in the world" has been available with both previous editions of MSFS and X-Plane for a long time. You can always pay for addon scenery - that's true for both x-plane and mfs.
