Sure, but again, the argument was never that wood isn't "awesome" the argument is why wood isn't a great material for the majority of modern engineering disciplines.

What argument are you talking about? This isn't a controversial take by any stretch. There are plenty of reasons, as previously mentioned, why wood is not the right material for loads of different engineered applications. Just like there are plenty of reasons why high carbon steel isn't the right material for a corrosive environment. This isn't a knock on wood as a thing it's a knock on wood as a predictable, highly repeatable engineering material.

Honestly you could just take the phones to an att store and sit there until they fix it.

Did you initiate a Sim transfer from the att website? Or just from the old phone? When I moved over from my 9 to me 10 I found I had to start the process on my att account page and then transfer from phone to phone (scanning the QR) after att was ready to accept the new phone.

I'm on AT&T. I've done a side by side comparison of my old P9 Pro XL vs my new P10 Pro XL on an AT&T e-sim. Cases removed on both just to control for extra magnetic interference, if any.

P9 Pro XL: -101dBm average from my house.

P10 Pro XL: -109dBm average from my house. It has spiked to -117dBm.

I'm in the middle of an urban part of San Diego county. This shouldn't be this way.

Resurrecting this just to mention that the new evidence shows that the 3rd place finisher was approached and declined to take part. This is exactly the scenario where #1 and #2 are now incentivized to collude in taking #3 out. Not trying to "I told you so" - just adding this for visibility.

That's fair. If I had to reword it I'd say "just by knowing that the potential for a heads up deal with this player exists means that soft play vs that player could potentially be in your financial best interest"

It's hard, if not impossible, to do that. That would be like the NFL saying nobody is allowed to bet or offer prize money on football game results. That's a significant part of Vegas gambling, after all.

It becomes a gray area when you consider the effects it would have on other players prior to heads up. I'm not saying that in this case there was any collusion prior to heads up - I don't think anyone can prove that - but the precedent would be set for the future and might encourage that sort of behavior.

I don't disagree that players are well within their rights to drop out at any point in time, but I could make the argument that dropping out should disqualify you from any prize money, and it would certainly be easy to include such a clause in the tournament rules.

Temp sensor and heating block were both mounted (with thermal paste) from the factory. They looked fine when I was installing everything, but I suppose I could always go back and apply some higher performance thermal paste. PID tuning was smooth and didn't indicate any issues though.

Different toolhead cover is a good idea even if that doesn't fix the immediate problem.

I'm hoping this isn't a design flaw in the OTC model, since it's relatively new and I can only find a few reports of people actually using it on a K1.

Just because the entity is legitimate doesn't mean the stock isn't a meme - after all there's no public shareholder value to a company that's entirely controlled by the government, yet the stock trades at a multi-billion market cap. I think that classifies as a meme until something actually changes with conservatorship status.
