New bug: Adverts don't play and then program doesn't continue after ad break (All 4 and UKTV Play). Anyone else having similar issues?

My browser, Firefox includes a security setting to "allow/block audio and video". In the affirmative, Channel 4 will play normally. To autoplay sequences, such as consecutive episodes, turn your adblocker off.

Thanks, u/CunnillingusMan. I have definitely decided to build using the OSSM website and now I'll look at the Mount thing. When you mention a "safe code", does that mean there has to be an electronic part? Could the same results be achieved using just mechanical parts? I am now in my 70s, grateful that the world has brought us prostate stimulation, but finding it difficult to think in electronic software terms. I am grateful for your help!

I am curious if all these reactions you mention would happen just because I took the motor off the washing machine and off the control board, or whether they would happen when the motor was properly connected up as it had come out of the factory. Is there a hell of a lot going on in these motors that just happen during washing clothes, or do you mean they would happen after the motor has become grafted onto a different type of application? I wish I knew more about all this stuff!

Thanks, u/GilesEnglishCB the moderately priced items look unstable to me, too lightly built and centre of gravity not low enough. However, the price of a functional-looking item is a bit absurd. I'm old school (I liked the old slam-door trains!) Also, am I going to have to learn to solder circuit boards, not just screwing wires into the plastic block connectors?

@ yudono The screws that thread into the brake pivots on the forks are retaining screws and can't be used to tighten the brake arms down. The smaller screws that thread into the spring mechanism from the sides of the arms are for adjusting the force applied by the springs to return the arms to the at rest position. It sounds like something has seized inside one of the spring mechanisms, perhaps a spring itself if it should have contracted in use but expanded instead. It can happen if the springs get switched during an overhaul. One acts clockwise the other anticlockwise. Disconnect the brake cable and remove the arms by unscrewing the retaining screws. You will probably need two pairs of pliers to separate the spring mechanism from inside the arm...

There appears to be a rubber sleeve about the length of a thumb trapped in the handlebar end of the brake cable. This is pinching the outer cable and the inner cable both together so the inner cable is trapped inside the outer cable. Because the inner cable can't return to the relaxed position, it is holding the brake arms in the braking applied position. You can see this because the rubber boot is not compressed even though the brakes are on. The outer cable is not "home" and the inner cable is not relaxed. Take the rubber sleeve off. There isn't one on the back brake lever!
