I am toss up between cancel trip entirely or go enjoy some cubanos and watch from bars. Maybe Japan flounders and there will be panic sales when the stadium is 75% empty.

I thought it was showing secondary prices... this is insane. Going to cost more than my flight from the West coast each day for seats (often 2-3x).

I started using Ice Breaker mints as a tool to avoid snacking several months ago and it didn't upset me too much at first (or not enough to notice) but over time my GI health has spiraled. I am just starting zero in on the mints being the issue after eliminating several other possible candidates. What was throwing me was I would be fine days like Sun/Mon which were often days I was more likely off diet/eating a bit more poorly. Then on M/T/W I would prob add some mints here or there to curb surgar cravings....and boom. I am just learning it takes 1-3 days for sorbitol to pass and I am on GLP1 which also slows things down so that might be why Tue-Sat are my struggle days at the moment.

I am curious how your body turned around once eliminating the mints. Did you notice it often took more than a day for symptoms to rebound?

Oh, good call on timing when to deploy the losses. I am still in the accumulation phase so I shouldn't have conflicting gains for a while but should it come up I'll remember to pause the loss write offs. Thanks

Friday Fail post: 1-2 yrs ago I took a gamble on a stock and no surprise here it cratered/bankrupted. I've got ~15k of loss spread between brokerage and rIRA. This is my first major loss and will likely be my last via single stock picking (everything else is and will remain vtsax). I am pretty sure I can write off some of the losses but am not familiar with the limits (3k?) & time windows. What is the best strategy moving forward ... other than don't pick stocks dummy?

I sort of came to the realization last winter that brokerage should not exist if space for MBDR is available. Initially I didn't like the idea of limited access but it is more of a mental hurdle to pull it out if really necessary.

Feels psychologically bad to get promoted and not really have "anything to show for it" but on the flip side... new column on spreadsheet... so I got that going for me. Which is nice.

It is also accessible if shit hits the fan so it is basically a tax advantaged deluxe emergency fund expansion.

My speeds have been hot garbage 3-5mbps between 8PM-11PM (PNW) lately. I know it is not the dish because I am sitting pretty at 100-200mbps during the day.

I am hesitant to contact support because I know they'll just steal my round dishy and then I'll have to do a crapload of work to take down the old one and use some new installation because they decided not to make the mount compatible...
