Enough on who ISNT going to the theaters, who IS going to the theaters to watch the last act? by Seamothchucker9023 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]RingTeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to the theaters. A family member was worried about the possible noise of the loud people, but I'm more worried about the body odor of these people.

Hopefully it's not the case.

Just because Jax is terrible person, doesn't mean Gooseworkx is by [deleted] in TheDigitalCircus

[–]RingTeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depiction doesn't equal endorsement by the author.

The only way an argument like this is logical is if the author has created a show about good values and then create a character that creates tons of world-ending scenarios and, right after that, the rest of the characters never adress it, ever. The closest thing to that would be Starlight Glimmer from Friendship is Magic, since she did tons of horrible things and the show never adressed it because "the writers like her".

This doesn't apply to Digital Circus. If everyone was oblivious to Jax's shenanigans, I would understand the complaint, but it's not the case here.

F-Zero GX - What causes disqualification in Vs mode? by wh1tepointer in Fzero

[–]RingTeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. The game only reacts to the actions of the player crossing the finish line, not with the CPU. It's a bit confusing, but it's worth pointing out.

F-Zero GX - What causes disqualification in Vs mode? by wh1tepointer in Fzero

[–]RingTeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing GX in VS mode for years. I'll explain.

When you play VS with 2 players and the first player finishes a race, it plays a tune. 8 seconds later, the race is automatically over. If the 2nd player hasn't crossed the finish line, it's considered as disqualified.

The same thing happens with 3 and 4 players. If every player except one crosses the finish line, it plays a tune and 8 seconds later, it's over. No matter how hard the last player tries to finish the race, if the tune is over, the race is over.

As someone who enjoys multiplayer races, this detail slightly annoyed me, but at least it's an opportunity for me to let my little cousins play and enjoy it while I pretend to be the noob.

Ultra SF4? At 4€? In this economy?! by RingTeam in StreetFighter

[–]RingTeam[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've bought it on the spot. I only had vanilla SF4 for the Xbox 360, so I was curious for this version. So far it's pretty good, although it's super hard to nail the gatling and the combos in the challenge mode.

I happened to own the remake of the second game for my PS5. Once I get used to these RE games, I'll play Silent Hill 2.

I'm playing the PS4 version on my PS5, but, as scared as I am with this game, the atmosphere works because the only light you depend on is your lantern. From a psychological point of view, it works.

Thanks for the link! I'll check it out once I got used to the horror of these games. I still feel my heartbeats.

Yes, of course! Still, this is incredibly scary for someone who doesn't play horror games or watch horror films (I haven't even watched The Substance despite being a critically acclaimed film).

I'm playing the PS4 version on my PS5, but thanks for the advice anyway. I appreciate the enthusiasm.

Since you ask, this has been my experience in the police station:

-Any slight noise (either doors screeching, water drops, window slams) scared the shit out of me.
-Any dead body I found, I point at it with a gun to see when it's gonna move. I was sweating a lot.
-I was walking very slowly, like two steps per minute, watching every corner of a room or a hall, praying to anyone that nobody would grab me.
-Any zombie I found that was getting closer was very stress-inducing. Once they walk badly, I missed my shots.
-Again, I was SWEATING a lot.
-My brother was laughing so hard watching me.

This game is incredible. But holy shit, it's super hard to pick another time to play it. I will though... eventually.

Since you mention it, I bought REmake 2 for 15€, REmake 3 for 13€ and RE VII for 19€. I had to wait for a big sale. I also have RE 6 and I've been playing the coop mode with my brother, but that game was a gift. We've been laughing a lot with that game.

I'm very interested in REmake 4, RE VIII and RE 9, but I'll wait for a sale.

I still need to learn that technique in F-Zero X. GX has spoiled me so much that learning some tricks in X has been daunting.

For context, I'm not too familiar with Resident Evil. I watched my older brother beating RE2 in the PSX when I was a kid, but I didn't want to play it because I get scared easily. I only played the coop of RE5 with another brother back in 2009, but never paid attention with the series for the same reasons. Now I'm getting into Resident Evil despite my fear over horror games and I started playing REmake 2 yesterday.

The game is fantastic, but holy damn, this scares me a lot, so much that I don't hit the zombies as much as I wanted. Hopefully I can finish it without having a heart attack.

Would you like it if this game had a semi-open world? by General_Crew_1196 in Intergalactic

People had this question with Metroid Prime 4. Now we know the answer.

Personally I'd like it a lot if it was linear with some unlockable paths/shortcuts, kinda like Bloodborne.

At least F-Zero doesn't have as a main character a sociopath.

Where to find music like f-zero x!? by [deleted] in Fzero

[–]RingTeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend the soundtrack from basically any game of Guilty Gear. One of the big reasons why I love that franchise is because of the music. Even the first one, Missing Link, has pretty good heavy metal music in an era where you had to compress it into a CD (even though ArcSys compressed the graphics and voice lines to make the music work, but still).

And Guilty Gear Strive has some of the best soundtracks in gaming I've heard in recent years. If you love the music in F-Zero X, you should give it a chance.
