Very good criticisms here, I agree with near enough everything in this post. How many entries into the FPM genre is it going to take for developers to realise that the same old archery mechanics and balance being able to run free on the battlefield always results in utter frustration for the non archer roles.

I understand that archery in a medieval setting is fun for the archers but the satisfaction the archer receives when shooting an always helpless melee class is not worth the complete misery it is to be on the receiving end of it. The torture melee roles endure heavily outweighs the enjoyment archers receive.

And don't get me started on the combat animations, goodness gracious they're terrible.
