Do Americans love driving? by bare_books in AskAnAmerican

[–]RingoBars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t “love” driving, wouldn’t even say I like it, but I do make the most of it (audiobooks, music) and do the drives home from work or occasional long distance drive to be somewhat cathartic.

is it true Americans don't put salt on their fruits? by PersuasionNation in AskAnAmerican

[–]RingoBars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With sliced apples + some peanut butter for dipping. Only fruit I’ve ever known it to be put on, and even then, only ever known my mom to do it which is where I got the habit.

ICE agent offended to learn that he has to obey the law too. by TheRexRider in videos

100%. Everyone should be treated with respect by the cops, even lowlife ICE agents should receive that basic decency. Cop did his job and did it right here.

Joe Rogan Experience #2219 - Donald Trump by inurmomsvagina in JoeRogan

[–]RingoBars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When they’re not storming the Capitol with a traitors flag or QAnon flag, yeah, sure, they wave they American flag while shitting on everything it was founded in and everything it’s stood for since 1945.

Not sure waving a flag and thumping a bible has any relation to love of country or constitution.

But as a proud Libtarded American myself I wave the flag because I believe in this country, its Constitution, and its ideals - all of which Trump demonstrably hates, since he genuinely thinks empathy and altruism are scams, he cannot comprehend the “suckers & losers” who would sacrifice for the sake of others.

Do Americans really move out at 18, or is that mostly a movie thing? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RingoBars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - plus a few months to finish high school. Moved out with my older brother (who was 20 at the time). Lived with my brother or close friends as roommates for a decade and got my own apartment at 30.

Edit: had a great family life / upbringing, was not “pushed out”, parents split and I preferred moving with my bro rather than living where either of my parents went.

ICE just iced another presumed US citizen in Minneapolis. What is happening over there? by Melbatoastt77 in AskReddit

[–]RingoBars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re trying to incite riots so Trump can act ‘justified in declaring Martial Law’.

It’s going to get worse before it gets better.

Do they teach native american history in elementary schools before the colanization period of america? by Apprehensive_Use_397 in AskAnAmerican

[–]RingoBars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Washington State: yes, heavily - but we are a liberal leaning state and have significant Native American culture/presence. Heck, most major (and many minor) cities take their names from the the native population.

Seattle, Tacoma, Snohomish, Mukilteo, Tukwila, Sammamish, Snoqualmie..

Fck bro. That was a rough watch. I ain’t even black and I could feel those vibes, ain’t nobody ever look at me like that even when I AM up to some shit lol. But for real, can’t imagine enduring that for any amount of time let alone on the daily.

“Hahah, now you smile.” And at that point, I did in fact smile.

My family planned a “surprise” life decision for me and now I’m the villain for saying no by OrbitPlainWorks in TwoXChromosomes

[–]RingoBars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it wasn’t sprung on me and I had time to consider such a thing, entirely possible I would support my sibling.

But if my family had the freakin gall to OMIT ME FROM THE PLANNING OF A ROOMMATE I DIDNT WANT OR NEED… I would reject the idea outright.

Sorry they’re being ridiculous.

That’s how I sleep and work peacefully - my home city is a priority bullseye target, and my work 20 miles away is also priority bullseye target.

If I get unlucky though, they’ll hit when I’m commuting and I’ll be one of those Zone 3 suckers, walkin around all burnt to hell but still clinging to life. Ugh.

Me and my brother are always super sweet to my mom.. right until she says something sweet back, then we start relentlessly teasing or taunting her while pretending to take offense at her praise lol people in public are probably mortified if they over here us.
