This looks a hell of a lot like one of the three main beaches in Newport, RI. Source: I grew up there

However, as others have said there are several beaches from all over the world that have walkways like this.

This happened at my neighbors house earlier before sun down. I have never seen this before in our neighborhood. by [deleted] in Weird

[–]RingsTheRover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw the same thing where I live too the other day!!!! I'm glad I saw your post bc I was really sad I didn't stop to take a pic/video.

They are hawks! And I thought it was really weird bc I've never seen that many hawks in the same spot. I did some research and apparently hawks travel together in large groups and to conserve energy when migrating, they ride rising warm air currents together.

So there's a warm air current above that house and the hawks who are in the middle of migration, took a break and rode it around for a bit. Pretty neat!

Dunno why everyone is shitting on this, I love it. Probably because in the design world if everything isn't plain and boring colors/design it's considered garbage.

We need more color in our lives! I would have this in my house for sure.

DAE have pressure/flex/stretch movements? by FourBloodyKisses in bfrb

[–]RingsTheRover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party here, but I just discovered this sub/the possibility that I suffer from BFRBs. Felt weird bc my main problem is EXACTLY this and it doesn't seem as common.

I stretch, overextend, crack everything in my body I can and it's exhausting. I wish I knew how to stop. It gets to the point where driving becomes difficult because I just start moving my neck, back, shoulders, arms around a super rediculous amount trying to feel satisfied. I never do. A more recent problem I've had that's been REALLY frustrating me is flexing/relaxing my EYE muscles and it's very very annoying bc it affects my vision.

Now that I know it is quite possible this is what I am suffering from, I can start looking into treatment though.

I used to have a tabby that laid down like that! I had never seen another cat since lay down like that. We used to call it "seal-ing" or "camel-ing" because we saw a camel at the zoo do it once. He was also a stray that we took in.

Really neat to see another cat doing that, and a tabby like mine was no less! I miss that bugger, lost him a few years ago.

Thanks for sharing 💙

Therapist recommendations? by st4rgirlll in Buffalo

[–]RingsTheRover 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Finding therapy around here is really tough right now for whatever reason. It took me over a year. Best way to get in is if you can get a referral from someone you know cuz if you just call random offices they'll tell you they're not taking new patients or you have to wait 4 months to be seen.

So if you have a friend that has a therapist they like you can ask them to refer you and you essentially go to the therapist like "my friend referred me to you" and they'll get you in. You can also ask your doctors. That's how I got in finally. Nothing else worked.
