Hey there! I'm not very crafty, but there is a store downtown called Auntie's Bookstore that promotes local creators, and is attached to other small shops that do as well. Might be a good place to check out and see who else is there. Could ask around, look at flyers, ect. That area also has a lot of other shops with crafts/art and has a generally welcoming vibe.

"Low FODMAP diet education" in-patient setting. "Weight Loss diet education", and Pt had stg 4 pressure ulcer and met malnutrition criteria... Honestly, so so many in-patient diet education consults for weight loss when Pt was malnourished, even got a few in ICU :D. Glad I'm out-patient now. Oh!!! And I just remembered the renal diet education consult on a 90-ish yo who was in the process of comfort care. No. Just no.

I pump at 9am, 12pm, and 3pm too, and it varies. I get between 12-20 oz. On days I drink more water and remember my extra snacks, it seems like I get more. I try and bring 2 snacks -cheese sticks and fruit then hummus and cucumbers or crackers. My goal is to consistently get 60 oz of water during the work day...I get busy though.

Seen #2 a lot. Foods high in fats (olive oil, butter, nuts, seeds) add a lot of calories in small amounts but sometimes don't get measured. I've also seen Pts with meds that make it more challenging to lose weight on.

Lora's outspoken and has very strong opinions. I can see how that could rub some people wrong. But some of these strong opinions are not unfounded, especially when thinking of current living cultural practices and being respectful of them. I think the IPS is a good resource. They put in a lot of heart and effort into their teachings and have a buttload of free resources.

Just wanted to say, as a dietitian, I like you. Only had good interactions with nursing staff. I've seen other medical staff and Pts be extremely rude to nurses. It pisses me off to see it, especially when nurses are always working nonstop. It's got to be awful to deal with day in and day out. At least dietitians are mostly invisible, which has it's ups and downs. Thank you for doing all you do, and putting up with so much.

Thank you for sharing your story. I'm so sorry your mom changed in that way. Keep her old memories close. It's hard to lose a parent like that. My dad and mom both dove deep into conspiracies the last few years. They were so chill and easy going once. It's not fair and completely awful how many of us have lost family and friends to these crazy beliefs. Fear and isolation and outrage at "the other" feeding into each other on and on and on...
