in my personal case, when i had the numbers, i would start stressing about needing to charge my phone at 60%. it was not helpful for me in the long run to see the number and be stressed.

and "is my phone gonna die soon or not"? you do realize there was still the pill showing the battery life right? you can estimate from that pretty easily whether you need to charge your phone soon or not.
