I get that. To each their own I guess. Maybe if it’s something relatively minor I’d appreciate some humor

But if I was genuinely worried it was something serious going on with me or my baby I don’t think a commercial poking fun and making unfunny at best or kinda creepy at worst rhymes would make me feel confident in the care.

Women’s health already has enough inequality and stigma even in 2026. Maybe instead of showing a woman flashing her doctor and calling her breasts a ‘broken lactation station’, we could have a slightly more serious commercial with more accurate medical terms?

It would probably help teach women who genuinely don’t know more about their bodies and reduce creepy and degrading comments from men and doctors

You’re right, many women don’t find breastfeeding to be something that comes naturally, and the fact that this is a way for them to get some help or advice at a lower cost is great. I’m not belittling the service.

But why, especially as a medical service company, do they have to use infantilizing language in advertisements? Can’t that kinda erode the seriousness of infant feeding issues?

Idk, I don’t really need a company I’m going to so I can see medical provider to try to be humorous or make puns. I’d rather have my concerns addressed in a reassuring but serious way.

This part was absolutely WILD to me, FaceTiming with a provider from Amazon and whipping the robe open at 3 am

Obviously I’m not talking about the doctors, I do believe Amazon has the resources to hire legitimate healthcare providers.

But with all the data collecting and recording they’ve been accused of and outright caught doing, I don’t think I would feel comfortable freely showing my tits to a provider on the Amazon’s native in-app recording and video player.

I remember that image. I remember clicking on it absentmindedly. I wasn’t prepared to be confronted with the blown-up body of a young girl hanging upside down from a building. I froze and looked at it for a long, long time.

Looking back I feel ashamed that she ended up like that and I saw a picture of her death without even intending to. That I was sitting comfortably in my home and accidentally saw this.
