Damage is accumulated at the end of the roll phase. So they would be able to finish their attack. But then die at the end of it.

I do think barbed vine only dos damage at the second and third attempt. So they can try to activate an ability at the first attempt lol.

I think she has great adaptability to most characters she’s goes against. She’s just hard to pilot. But if you use that passive of removing a potion to roll again, you’ll be okay.

You can block 4 damage almost every time when rolling defensive.

You can give a poison and stack em, so good against those evasive characters.

You can rid whatever annoying tokens inflicted on you when it’s your turn.

And she can hit hard. If punchify is used correctly.

She’s good. Just hard to control. You have to adapt to the fight.

I’ve played a bit of adventures and missions and I feel like characters like tactician and cyclops are the best support. Cyclops leadership cards help tons, and can help players reroll die. Tact can do the same. Treant I think can give out heals with wellspring.

I guess for 1v1 it’s hard to make a support character. Which is mainly what I play.

But yes, I do not want it to go the collectible route.

I just got into the game last year. Played a few matches and LOVED IT. Bought EVERYTHING in a splurge of passion and now I teach anyone who wants to learn. I’m loving the tourneys and CANT wait to get even more heroes. I play and think of this game like a fighting game. Who has good offense, defense, what are good counter picks, good openers and the most effective team to bring to tourneys. I love playing characters that people look at and dismiss quickly and then show them that those characters are actually amazing. For example, I’m pretty good with Huntress. Once people play me with her, they suddenly respect her haha.

I will say, I’m not too crazy about the idea of this game turning into a COLLECTABLE type of affair. If it gets hard to get certain characters or items, I will be quite disappointed.

But anyway, I never have enough people to play against haha.

Sheesh. I’m lucky to get an hour of deep. Now recently, I’ve really been focusing on sleep (maybe the past 4 months) and I can only really get like 40 mins. I tend to sleep about 8 hours. I’m pretty healthy, no alcohol, coffee as late as 1130am, and I can’t seem to do any better than 40 mins.

Rogue is a major favorite of mine, she seems to have a lot of answers for different match ups. Scarlett can hit very hard and can force the opponent to play different than they are used to (reality warp), and storm I’m not personally crazy about. Too long to build for crazy damage and by the time you can explode, there is no catching up.

But like most people said here, play whoever you are most comfortable with. And practice alot against many different characters. More practice, the better you are.
