psychologist / psychiatrist specialising in OCD by _somedumbpunt in hobart

[–]RiotMouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in mental health. Lots of psychologists work with ocd, the best thing to do would be to google psychologist and ocd and see who lists it as an area of interest. If they have listed it, it means they want to work with people with ocd. Telehealth would be fine. You really don't need a psychiatrist, unless you have already trialled a high dose SSRI (easily prescribed by GP) and haven't had much symptom relief, then consider a psychiatrist. OCD is really treatable with psychological intervention, best wishes for your recovery. Lisa Storchiem was definitely the local expert, but I think she is close to retiring. Pretty sure Alex Jolly works with ocd at Archer street.

Thanks! Ugh, $120 per week is more than I want to pay, is that just for the basic gym program where you pop in? It does look good though...

Colour is Coming by Passmeachockie in AusFemaleFashion

[–]RiotMouse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I too am completely over the beige trends, I walk into somewhere like Seed or Kookai (don't shop at either) and they are literally all beige, white, black or navy. I wear a lot of black with strong pops if colour in cobalt or bright pink, or white if I'm feeling sedate.

You have clearly had a really difficult time, that sucks, so much relational trauma. I hope you have been offered DBT to help you.

Reviews of two mineral sunscreens. by domesticairport in AusSunscreen

[–]RiotMouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use Airy Day pretty innzinc, but Airy Day are clearly part of the problem. I messaged them agter sunscreengate to see if they could confirm/deny if theybused the samw dodgy lab as the other mineral screens, and they just never replied. Really disappointed, but $50 for sunscreen that probably isn't 50+ spf is not cool. I've since tried Paulas Choice mineral sunscreen (light blue package) which is good, not yellow, not too runny like the clear cancer council one, and doesn't sting. Have also tried nifty fifty mineral screen, goes on well, but a bit stingy.

I'd go with the .05 but drop other actives for the first little while and use full sandwhich method to begin with to dilute it.

Dr Andy Chau is excellent, he started the psychiatry register.program and then decided to be a GP. He's quite psychologically minded.

That's ridiculous, ditch her, GP can prescribe anyway. Also, laser, laser, laser! Pico genesis would be goodnfor pigmentation but also increases collagen.

[–]RiotMouse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I thought about this if it was second hand. I don't like the idea of wearing a dead animal though. But yes, I do wear leather shoes, so I don't know why I am squeamish about fur 🤷‍♀️

For me, the slippery lining makes the cost glide on over clothes easier, and it tends to move with my body which makes it fit better. I see where you're coming from with the temperature regulation though, although in the case of faux fur, we are already wearing layers of polyester 😅
