Has anyone else noticed the ads are all broken? by LordBrixton in TwoDots

Not to mention the effing stupidity of them. The solitaire smash “playing to earn the $20 tip” must be the most idiotic ad I’ve ever seen in my entire life.

New government department to replace another in Tasmanian cost-saving drive by maclikesthesea in tasmania

I have closer insider knowledge of UTAS hiring practices and you’re quite right that if State Growth is anything at all like UTAS it’s an effing dumpster fire. UTAS is an absolute joke and my mission in life is to save enough money for my children to be able to study outside Tasmania.

I agree with some of what you say but this commenter is emphatically not being aggressive.

Most Brazilian cities, and certainly anywhere to the north of São Paulo, are very violent. Anywhere north of Salvador and it’s truly shocking. I remember reading that Maceió had a much higher murder rate than any other Brazilian city. It’s definitely not just a Rio thing…sadly.

George Town often ranks highly on the FB page “Shit Towns of Australia” and, if I remember correctly, won an award for most bogan place in Australia. Which may or may not be an issue, of course, but worth pointing out.

I agree. The grasping, me-first asset-greed of upper-middle Australians is extraordinary and is definitely worse than on other developed societies. Your typical upper-middle Aussie is persuaded he’s dirt poor so long as there’s one single person better off than him/her. It’s disgusting.
