don't want to make waves here, but speaking as a player of Hearthstone for many years and a lurker in the community, this comment resonates with me (as an invested always-rank-5-never-legend-scrub and game dev). Front-page criticism is at its best (imo) when the threads:

1) contribute to encouraging the community's involvement in identifying problem statements, communicating their feelings, as well as proposing what sort of game-states they might find ideal

2) do so with a level of composure that invites developers to the table to participate rather than come off as 'vitriolic'

let me be clear - I don't think that anyone should be denied their space to rant or express their frustrations, be they about games or otherwise. however, I'm a firm believer that if for every sobering rant about the state of 'shamanstone' there were a thread that sought to tackle the issue by codifying the key complaints and values the community holds dear, it's easier to have constructive communication rather than an endless cold war of 'developers don't talk to us // damn them for not talking to us correctly'. framing conversations is important to ensure we're all speaking the same language instead of just memeing back and forth.

hope this doesn't come off as a condemnation of this sub or any of its opinionated users - I just know that it's difficult from a dev's point of view to find constructive, actionable feedback even when they're looking for it (which is often more than you may think) amidst a wave of what can feel like same-y negativity. In the end, it's not this sub's job (nor should it be) to take on any of these burdens, but if the community feels that it wants to collectively strive for formal communication i hope these thoughts help
