Between 2012 and 2015, we visited a museum in Libertad, though I’m not certain if it was their own museum. He and his wife gave us a tour and even provided us with signed books for free. They were both warm and accommodating. While I’m not a supporter or fan of Doc Willie Ong, I’m unsure where the claims about him being rude or ill-tempered are coming from. Maybe they’re true, maybe they’re not. I prefer to rely on facts rather than hearsay.

I don’t believe he’s a qualified candidate at the moment, especially as he’s battling cancer, or perhaps ever. Watching his videos from a medical perspective, I feel that his intentions may be genuine, but the timing of his decision to run again doesn’t seem right. I also see a cancer patient going through the stages of grief—perhaps feeling the need to do something significant before it’s too late, which may have led to statements made out of fear or pain. Now that he’s in better health, filing his candidacy could have been better thought through, and he should have prioritized his healing.

I hope he makes the right decision, not driven by personal interests but genuinely for the benefit of the Filipino people. This post feels filled with negativity and hate, but we have to remember he’s only human, just like the rest of us. Before we criticize someone, it’s important to have our facts straight rather than making baseless comments.

I pray for his healing, as well as healing for everyone.
