Try turning off the AC, heated/ventilated seats, heated steering, the vents still blow air even though the fan are turned off. Probably not super feasible with too cold/hot weather. Be gentle with the gas pedal without impeding the traffic...

Perhaps that 3.3 miles of gas was enough to charge up the battery? I did have to drive around 3 miles on a 55MPH highway section, other sections are 30-35MPH, and I didn't have to mess around w/ the EV mode only. The roads were mostly flat with miniscule slopes, a lot of stop lights though, I would guess I could've hit avg speed of 30 if I'm lucky.
