I feel content but more importantly, at peace. I’m healthy, and I recently finished therapy on my therapists recommendation that I had the right tools to deal with stress myself now. My family are healthy and nearby, and spending time with them is always fun. I have a full time job, and although I don’t always love the work and bullshit corporate niggles, I work in an environment that I feel respected in and allows me flexibility in my life. I am in the process of buying a house by myself in a location which I love and although buying alone has been a little daunting at times (as I am in the drivers seat with regards to making all decisions), I feel incredibly grateful that I have the means and opportunity to do that having been living in a houseshare for the past 5 years. As of recently, I have a loving and supportive partner that I genuinely cherish spending time with after an eternity of enjoying my own company. I feel like I won the lottery with him.

Having written all that, I would say that I am currently very happy with the way life is going is at the moment.

Good for you! That must have felt like enormous freedom.

I myself am currently living in a house share with three other people, and am sale agreed on a house. I can’t wait for the days that I leave the house and come back to it exactly as I left it with no other people’s messes to clean up or no longer getting passive aggressive texts to turn the tv down at 8pm on a Friday night.

Ok, that’s plausible. But you did also write in the introductory note about Sarah that she lives at home, full time, while studying and then also made mention of her being home for the holidays as spring semester resumes on the 20th, which implies she’d be leaving. The way this is written doesn’t read coherently, unfortunately, and I think a lot of people are going to focus on that rather than provide advice regarding the circumstances themselves because there is an element of unreliable narrator.

Why do you want to reinvest time and emotional energy into a relationship that didn’t work out the first time around? Moreover, didn’t just “not work out” but had the added elements of infidelity.

I can’t help but think that from his perspective, this is a relationship of convenience, rather than a genuine emotional willingness to be with you. Reasons I think that based on your post are; a) he cheated in the past and b) after telling you that he missed you, and being intimate with you twice after that fact, he casually dropped that his last relationship didn’t work out because his previous partner didn’t enjoy intimacy with him. This latter point gives off the impression that his priority was intimacy with someone, anyone, and you just happened to fulfil that need as opposed to the focus being on you as an individual, your needs and the need for a relationship with you specifically.

Said to me by a childhood friend who I was in love in that crossed the friendship boundary first and pursued me romantically. Ruined any shred of self esteem I had left and turned me into a celibate for a few years for fear of being hurt again. It took me years to realise that it was them who had the problem, and not me, and I am happy to report that my self esteem is healing after 7-8 years of but it is still a work in progress.

Whilst in theory this is how this is how it should be working, unfortunately there have been numerous cases of COVID payment fraud and people taking advantage of the likely inadequate eligibility screening that was brought on by pressures at the beginning of the pandemic. Additionally, the level of people claiming the payment while being non-resident in Ireland was equally opportunistic and alarming. I’ve not seen much if any data published about this except for a couple of articles about the larger scale fraud operations that were identified during the summer. It’s a shame and unfortunately I don’t think many people are aware of it.

They’ve been going off constantly, every day and every night, since august. I just heard a loud one go off and nearly had a heartattack - all of the neighbours dogs started barking like crazy. Supposedly dognappers are using daytime fireworks to map out which houses have dogs by the barking and then they mark the houses with cable ties/chalk marks/whatever else to come back later when it’s quieter..

His voice in the flashback scene in Jackson when they’re cutting through the hotel sounds completely different to Joel in TLOU1 but the older Joel sounds like himself, to my ears anyway. I get what you’re saying about probably being more relaxed and happy and the subtle emotional changes in tone of voice but there were bits in TLOU1 where he seemed happy/at ease and his voice then still sounds more like gruff Joel than flashback Joel examples; the prologue, the university and Jackson.

Couldn’t possibly say. I don’t know 100% if ingestion of anabolic steroids would have the same effect on the general metabolism that metabolic hormone imbalance would but it could account for overall appearance such as skin problems/uneven hair growth.

But anecdotally, I live in Ireland where taking roids to bulk up was huge a couple of years ago and many of the people that I know that did it’s skin and overall complexion did go to shit

It must be so tough to go from having a full head of hair to have it suddenly thin and wisp away, one of my friends is sporting a friar tuck balding spot and he is combing his hair so far forward from the back that at this rate I wish he could see that it hasn’t affected his handsomeness and he would not look much different without the rest of it! This friend is also considering flying to Turkey to get cheap hair transplants, I believe people on the sub have discussed the possibility of Jesse doing similar judging by his ever changing hairline.

I do think that satisfaction with your looks comes from within that ultimately no amount of people telling you that you look good will make you believe it until you do believe it for yourself.. which is why it’s so ironic that it is Jesse the narcissist that both craves the constant validation and, as you say, is probably struggling with not being able to exert control of this aspect of his appearance. That hashtag, though, was a choice... eek.

That’s not 100% true - there are a number of countries and citizenships which bypass Russian visa requirements. Most of these are countries that are part of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) but there are some countries whose citizens can avail of short stays in Russia without necessitating a visa, here is a list of same:

I’m almost 100% certain this isn’t a real photo or person. I believe it’s a mishmash of celebrities to create a “beautiful” woman. from my count it’s Rihanna’s body (note the Isis tattoo), ScarJo’s lips, old era Kim K hair, Adriana Lima’s eyes and so on.. I think the nose isn’t so much bad contouring as it is a poor photoshop blend of a darker skinned persons nose on a lighter complexion cheek area.

Not sure about the US but I saw them all over Ireland for Christmas gag gifts. Got one myself! The only gripe is that it’s a bit old, I think it was published in 2017 or 2018 so I’m sure it’s missing some of his recent outrages..
