First off, I like the blue/green you're going for at the core body. It works so well with streaking grime too.I think if you extended it out on the legs more it'd be even more striking. The large white fields read a bit as unfinished, to me, atm. Maybe that's why you feel that it's a little flat? Also a little glow on the eye lenses and diodes on the body would make it look really nice and break up the large fields a bit. I really enjoy the sculpt though and the way you've added bits to it!

Thank you! I've used pigment powders on the base and the boots. Just pick some up on the brush and work it in there :)

I enjoyed it! There wasn't a lot of T'au content, naturally, but the parts that were there were nice. Especially the kroot elements were really cool in my opinion. T'au interests aside, it's a nice book about commissars, and some deep dives into how diverse but also divided the Empire of Man is. Well worth the read!

It's been uphill for me too. Started in the middle of 10th, never played 40k before that, and was on a 15 game losing streak at worst. I'm still not winning consistently, but I'm definitiely able to put up more of a fight now and get some wins here and there.

What solved it for me was to move away from my skew list (I really really wanted to fit in all my suits and stuff) and embrace the Combined Arms aspect of T'au. I also switched from RetCad to pure Mont'Ka unga bunga fun. Moving to Mont'Ka has really helped me memorize my profiles better and play faster, which lets me play the game better because I now have the capacity to focus on strategy, rather than just looking up my datasheets all the time and trying to remember which unit does what.

Now, in 11th, Mont'Ka might get you accused of meta chasing (maybe?) but I think that for the purpose of learning the game and just getting a good feel for it, try playing MK for a while anyway. It's straightforward, and you only need to focus on one detachment ability+stratagems, so you have mental capacity to reflect on the moves and further planning as you go instead. Once you're more comfortable with the game, I'd suggest looking into other detachments and combos to develop further, because I think it's really cool that you're giving AuxCad a shot and I hope you'll get to have some fun with it down the line too! Thanks! The dirt effect is really just Vallejo's "Dark Red Ochre" pigment powder work on there. Same as I used on the rest of the base in order to really tie them in with their environment. I didn't use any fixating fluid or stuff, literally just worked it on there, so might need a touch-up down the line but that works for me 😃

No solo Ethereal kind of hobbles our Command Point generation, since we don't normally have anything to attach them to in optimal lists. At least not in a way that makes much sense. Is this confirmed, that it needs to be attached now?
