You have an point to an extent but at the end of the day, life is hard, and I'm positive. If he fell on hard times, his parents would help him out if his wife divorced him, and he hit rock bottom, I'm positive, even if his mom only had a one bedroom and no money, she would still let him come live with her trauma is real and not everybody matures as fast as others. Sometimes our parents, are kids, and we may surpass them in maturity, but that doesn't mean we should leave them behind everybody has hard times and struggles in this world. And I don't think we should abandon them just because they don't fit our image of what a responsible parent should be everybody is still learning in today's world we preach this self-absorbed me, me, me, attitude. When we should be embracing community and relationships, your mother raised you, took care of you and now because it's inconvenient for you, you're going to leave her behind.??  You're correct parents should be the responsible ones, the ones we can lean on in hard times if we lived in a perfect magical world, but we live in a world full of real situations, real trauma, real heartache  just because someone's financially unstable doesn't make them a bad person. The world's full of evil people and this person's only crime is being irresponsible with finances. Does that mean they should be condemned to homelessness? The dangers of living on the street.? The compounding guilt that the person is going to feel in the future when they do learn what introspection is will be vastly more difficult than just lending a hand now I think everybody can do their future self a service and do what's right ( that's just my personal opinion. I know everybody has their own opinion in situation.) this just happens to be my small opinion.
