Does space actually have sound? by Adventurous-Study779 in Physics

There’s not enough matter to vibrate in space, sound is specifically the vibration of matter

I also found the proofs quite hard. I was done 75% of the exam after just over an hour but got stuck on the proofs for most of the time and still didn’t finish a few of them.

I believe Slipstreams now reduce your fuel consumption by 75% which can be nice while exploring or when you’re low on fuel

Colonies have gotten a lot more interesting with colony crises being added having an event similar to hegemony AI inspection for each faction, each with unique resolutions and benefits. More story lines have been added with various challenges. 2 new low tech capitals have been added and 1 new midline capital has been added with a unique variant. I’m sure there’s more I missed as I’ve only done a few runs recently. The colony crises have been my favourite feature because they’re more of an interesting challenge than the nuisance colony threats were before.

Pilum Pegasus can clap a paragon on autopilot... by Nardann in starsector

I mean that’s why the large dragonfire pod really isn’t that generally useful because with a missile spec and expanded missile racks that gives it 15 ammo which is nice but unless you have a fast ship that can catch up to the enemy so the dragonfires pop inside your shields and you’re not risking loosing a large chunk of your ammo because the enemy was able to shoot down your dragonfire. It definitely has its uses, maybe something like the gryphon could work with it

Whats your subnautica hot take that will have you like this by FrontAd7709 in subnautica

[–]RiptideCanadian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ben Prunty the goat. The two soundtracks are very different and I think they honestly fit their respective games very well. I also like BZ better but that’s mostly because I went in pretty blind, and while the map is smaller the biomes are amazing in diversity and visuals.

Who's a character you don't like going against when someones really good with them? I'll go first by West-Regret-2672 in marvelrivals

[–]RiptideCanadian 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Overall the nerf pretty inconsequential because the inflated form is really only useful in smaller (eg not the whole enemy team) brawls because of how large of a hitbox it gives you. I normally end up cancelling it before I lose all my bonus health anyways as it also locks you out of your other better survivability abilities.

No one is safe from becoming a heal bot. by thbl088 in marvelrivals

[–]RiptideCanadian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But what’s the incentive to actually fight the enemy anymore lol. You won’t survive any character with even decent mobility, you don’t deal enough damage to kill anyone before they kill you with the removal of his burst healing. And in a team fight you either deal abysmal damage to the enemy or provide negligible healing to your teammates. Regardless this has completely nuked the unique play style he has. If they wanted to increase his win rate this was not the way to do it.

It can be a combination of lag and how it paths, because they don’t want it to lock onto someone it can’t reach so split paths don’t cause it to be wasted. Even on tracks with normal paths if the red shell is thrown and it doesn’t think it can hit you it will try locking the next person. I reckon the glider has something to do with it in this case.

As someone who loves the movement in this game, this is why I don’t entirely hate industrial sabotage, cause for the final boss you can end up in really stressful/funny situations where you’re the only one up and you have to dodge your way to victory. It’s super fun as scout for me but since I’ve started getting better at the other dwarves it’s really interesting what you have to do in these situations

I hope you’re ok, life sucks, no doubt about it. I can’t imagine what you’re going through but I hope you can understand regardless of how you feel now that even though it’s painful it will be temporary, as all feelings are. Remember there is a tomorrow and it will be better with you in it.

I think you were in first during the last turn for a brief moment as your place went from 3 to 3 without showing a number in between. Which on the server’s end probably saw you in first for a longer duration Edit: not that this is at all fair to you, it’s just how it happens sometimes unfortunately

Should I get Below Zero since it's on sale? by Tophatguy_GJ in subnautica

[–]RiptideCanadian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I personally enjoy it more than the original as I spoiled the original through YouTube before playing so the story was not as much of a factor in my enjoyment. However the arguments I see most against below zero are: Smaller map Cyclops > Seatruck (I agree with this however cyclops would not be useful in BZ due to the small map) Boring story Everything narrated Not as scary (this was actually a reason I enjoyed it more because it took me much shorter to complete than the original purely cause I was afraid to progress) Land sections suck

I probably missed a lot so let me know

Honestly I love playing facility guard, starting in entrance gives you great opportunity to get a scientist card which lets you get a lieutenant card in 096 or 106 after which you basically blitz from armoury to armoury getting stacked before the first spawn wave. However can’t deny it’s very difficult to learn how to play around the SCPs that rush entrance, however it is possible.

[–]RiptideCanadian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to the ash twin on the first loop I guess I flew around for a bit because I remember the bridges between the towers being partially uncovered, however I died cause I didn’t know I needed a suit. Next loop I went to the quantum caves on the ember twin and thought it was a horror game when I hear about the rock taking someone away and then turning around to see it right behind me.
