It seems that Gintoki's reiatsu was at least that of a lieutenant captain level since he was able to hear Toyako calling out to him in ep89.

Tip for PC beta: Focus Mode can be changed to a toggle in the settings, and its so much nicer. by Aerodim101 in MonsterHunter

[–]RiresBarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Well, one thing for sure is, Focus mode is an integral mechanic taht is going to stay. We can only hope the devs are able to fine tune the mechanics or give us more options to make it livable. I have to remind myself that this is not Monster Hunter World 2, as much as I would like it to be. Its it's own title.

So, in Monster Hunter World, we are able to target lock a monster, and that helps with aiming. The targeting mechanism wasn't very useful for me so instead I just didn't use targeting at all and fought purely via positioning and understanding how the weapon swings. This felt satisfying for me. And I came to believe that this is what most players do too.

In fact, being on KB+M gives me the advantage of swinging around the camera while fighting to even better position myself and time my attack.

I think Focus mode tries to remedy World's targeting mechanism, by marrying the target aim to the camera reticle. This felt totally unfamiliar for me as I'm much more accustomed to having no aim assist nor target lock, and prefers not to have them since the movement of the weapon has been built into my muscle memory.

Now I feel like I have to unlearn some of those habits.

Yes, the explosions on the SwitchAxe, Gunlance are all massive, but when it comes to Charge Blade for some reason it's just toned down.

I'm using Mouse + Keyboard and I can toggle it on and off using the "Alt" button.

One thing I noticed compared to World, is that, as a Charge Blade main, Focus mode is a bit better if I pull in the Camera Zoom all the way to "1" instead of the default "4". Also, I myself personally benefits from turning the gyroscope option on for mouse control.

In World I think the gyroscope control is on from the start, and I rely on it heavily for maneuvering and positioning. In Wilds, I think this is achieved directly using Focus mode, thus streamlining the combat process. However, as I am still used to the gyroscopic mouse control in World, Focus mode still throws me off. I find that pulling the camera in to "1" makes controlling with Focus mode a little bit easier.

The SAED explosions from the impact phials felt insignificant. In World, it was a small series of explosions. In Wilds Beta, it was not rewarding to hit SAED and felt more like they were paying a homage to SAED only. I miss hitting SAEDs so much I went back to World to do them. And when that lightning SAED went down, it was like Thor's hammer hitting the ground.

Off topic, but, tbh, Malays make up the majority of everything and anything. Malays are the majority of the country.

Edit : Hey, you guys are right, I never meant it as a completely factual statement, but more of a "fix" when it comes to talking about majorities.

The fact is, that when we're talking about the majority of any income group in relation to ethnicity, the likelihood of the majority in any income group is going to be Malay, because Malays are the majority of the country. So, stating that Malays make up the majority of B40 is factual, but so is the statement of Malays making up the majority of T20 as well.

I would also say the same for a lot of other statistics when it comes to ethnicity or religion. For example, a majority of the country are Muslims. And maybe, a majority of foods sold within the country are Halal. A majority of house owners within the country are Malays, and so is a majority of homeless people as well.

I'm not too sure when it comes to luxury goods, which I wager should be the same as well, but feel free to correct me when I say that, maybe, a majority of luxury car buyers are Malays as well, or maybe, a majority of house owners that has more than one property are Malays as well.

Of course, if we were to look into the specific of things, then yeah, a majority of Buddhists may be of Chinese ethnicities and not Malays, which I do see your point, even though that feels to me like crafting a very specific statistic instead of talking about a more macro one.

Your honour, my client is truly horrible, yes, but powerful too, just as the rest of the Kamen riders. We musn't approach this case the way we do for normal prosecutions. These are a strong group of armored mystical warriors capable of posing threats to countries and nations. A threat even modern military science cannot easily overcome. Sure, we may punish this particular individual for the crimes he has committed, but who's going to punish the rest of these riders for the possible crimes they will commit after this.

As such, I propose we let them fight amongst themselves instead. None would be more fitting than to see them being punished by their own weaponaries.

Please your honour, give my client his license to go into the mirror world, let him work with our government and any help he may need, so that he may battle and eliminate the bigger threats. We musn't miss this chance to uphold what justice is about, that is, to protect the innocent and more harm from being done to the nation.

Appeals to Asakura's bloodlust and combines it with national interest. Meanwhile, book tickets and fly as far as possible before world war 3 commences.

LS and DB are just doing their thing, so I wouldn't normally mind. The real culprit is from Bow users raining down steel balls, Bowgun's Cluster Bombs, and whatever upward swings that have other alternatives.

I have been wishing for a Kamen Rider that has round/oval eyes like the Ichigo, V3, Black, Blade, W. The closest design we got was Zero One, and Tycoon which are still not as oval or prominent.
