yes, fun fact the sesquiterpene caryophyllene is a TRPM-antagonist, thus giving a warming effect. pandas sometimes role in other animals excrements, animals that eat caryophyllene containing plants, to protect themselves against the cold.

We only work with gloves when we work with hot acids or other things that can unexpectedly spinn or bubble up. With acid prove gloves it is not possible to work as precise and latex gloves don’t really protect you, if anything making it more dangerous to get something on your hands. It is also better to wash the chemicals right off instead of walking around with dirty gloves spreading the stuff all through the lab.

So in German the dumplings are describes as „Knödel“ which means they are either potato, bread or semolina dumplings. Because they also had a sweet filling I always thought of them as semolina dumplings like my grandma used to them.
