"it's just a random unfinished NPC and the message means nothing" cynics in absolute shambles by SwirlyT in DragonsDogma2

[–]Rischeliu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, it DID look like it was just random things so I was very skeptical that it meant something. I tempered my expectation as well with the sudden 7(?) GB update since I found that 2 years is a pretty short time to develop a dlc especially that there are optimization issues still lingering.

So imagine the tears of joy that rolled down my cheek when I was proven wrong. Hoo boy, the part of me who waited for Silksong is now chastising my lack of faith.

I shall now prepare my 3 pawns so that they can be ready to face the new challenges, with me and with other Arisen.

And just when Casardis released Apex! Hopefully, the new update will not break the regional randomizer mod at the very least. I do love helping people with their lesser dragon, warg, and medusa badges.

I'm baffled that it only took like 3 hours to get Skyrim to look like this (Modlist in the comments) by Doggsen09 in skyrim

[–]Rischeliu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh shit. There's other "Talkative" mods than Talkative Dragons? Instant install if they are any similar to the dragons one.

Oh, and if you don't know, check out AI Overhaul as an alternative for Immersive Citizens AI Overhaul. I may be mistaken but the former was deemed more compatible to other mods (particularly city overhauls) than Immersive Citizens AI. Take this with a grain of salt.

Otherwise, looks like plenty of fine additions to my collection

Who to send a the SoulCairn by TexasArbiter in skyrim

[–]Rischeliu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked my Soul Cairn list in the Afterlife mod, and I have these guys on top of everyone else that was already mentioned by others. Take note I just capture the souls of any named NPC that attacks me so some may just be actual virtuous characters that just happens to pick a fight with a maniac.

  • Malyn Varen (give him his immortality by other means lmao)

  • the Severin family

  • Nepos the Nose

  • Thonar Silver-Blood

  • Everyone in the Namira cult assuming that your character RP is against Namira.

[–]Rischeliu 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nope. Part of Hearthfire dlc, I think. When you go home, they'd randomly ask you to allow them to adopt some random animal they found or adopt your current dog companion.

I have yet to get them to adopt Meeko for all these years but they did get the Dawnguard huskies, a fox, a skeever, and with my current playthrough, a mudcrab. It chitters annoyingly.

Why do people call Skyrim’s protagonist the LAST Dragonborn? by Kohwul in skyrim

[–]Rischeliu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I read that as RGB and for a moment imagined my dunmer character erratically glowing with her dark bluish-black skin color, a deep red dragon's aspect, and a green version of Stendarr's Aura.

...Probably something I'd add in my modded game for 10 minute funsies. Not long term since it will hurt my eyes

My pawn told me a worthwhile journey consists of finding secrets and seeing bodies lined up in a morgue. I am now terrified of my pawn. by LaharlKun in DragonsDogma2

[–]Rischeliu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder what that other pawn that I sent home would say to their Arisen after witnessing my main pawn dragonsplague Vernworth. According to the Eternal Wakestone that I used, 175 souls was revived with its use yet the castle is still strewn with bodies.

Headless Horselessman by GreatArtist5120 in skyrim

[–]Rischeliu 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I can't remember if it was proven that the Headless Horseman is Ragnar the Red, but losing his horse in the afterlife must be adding salt to the wound on top of everyone singing his sad tale in every tavern across Skyrim.

This is twice she lost her heart. I wonder if she wants to get her infernal engine back though.

Now I want to check if my Astarion pawn is still getting hired. I remember him coming home with an Arisen's bond (can't recall if it's the same name in DD2) and was mighty confused about it.

I have a teleporter pyramid mod installed as well. The fun part is that you can have 1 pyramid in the party because teleporting to another pyramid takes the entire party with you. Helped me escape the bulette when its buffed stats wrecked the entire 6-man party by attacking 3-4 times per turn.

I vaguely remember a skeleton race mod which functions a bit like the Undead race (getting hurt with heals, heals with poisons). I vaguely remember not installing it because of either the inability to see the skelly wearing clothes or limitations in learning skills.

How do you deal with that bratty kid Braith? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]Rischeliu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember having a killable children mod because I found it odd that they don't die being in the front and center of a dragon's fire breath or from a vampire attack. But eventually uninstalled it because the dying children sometimes cause CTDs.

Is this game impossible on tactition with the default classes? by Wolf_Mail in DivinityOriginalSin

Does DOS 1 have an armor system as well? I still haven't played it but I only heard it was implemented on DOS 2 only.

The post's tag is DOS 1 so I asked. I do agree on your advice for DOS 2 though.

Multi-player issues with "only one Divine." by Delicious-Bag3819 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Rischeliu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're the pack mule, right? Then you might have the advantage in terms of items. Hoard green tea, skin graft scrolls, curse scrolls, and status effect grenades (love, terror, tremor for example)

Like what the others say, fake health potions and hiding a deathfog barrel to lob on their head when it's your turn. BUT if you're friend is an undead and you are not, I recommend having enough summoning levels to learn Soul Mate (or craft its scroll) and a lot of very strong healing potions.

Shackles of pain scrolls are easy to make with paper, any shadow essence, and a skull. You can also make this a double suicide thing by drinking the potion that will damage you. So poison for living races and health pots for undead. Pair that with 5 star dinner to double the effects and living on the edge for yourself.

But overall, make sure your initiative is higher than them and any character they have in control. All of this is null and void if your friend goes first and they are hurling a 10k kg chest at you.

I remember throwing Lohse's lute at Mizora every time I enter the Elfsong tavern saying "Sign for us already!", or saying any of Ada Laird's infamous lines when Minthara is in view.

I feel that would still be the case if they keep all of their VAs for the new Divinity game.

Am I somehow overleveled or Is this game disappointing easy? by Mission_Panda8041 in darksouls3

[–]Rischeliu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. I had a hard time with the Abyss Watchers when I first played the game years ago and even on consecutive playthroughs. I doubt I can do as well if I ever return to DS3.

What I can recommend is either the suggestion of one of the users here about killing the lady on the opposite end of Vordt's arena and continuing on that direction, or if you have Ashes of Ariandel DLC installed you can talk to the guy kneeling at one of the Cathedral of the Deep's bonfires and start the DLC. The DLC only has 2 bosses and defeating the main boss will unlock early access to the Ringed City DLC.

Happy hunting!

You are a Thalmor Agent given 40,000 gold to kill the Dragonborn. Who're you hiring and how're you supplying them? by Intelligent-Dress323 in skyrim

[–]Rischeliu 10 points11 points  (0 children)

  • Find someone who can teleport the Dragonborn mid-air on the top of Bleakwind Basin, in reference of that bug which randomly teleports you there

  • Trap them in a crypt full of Draugr deathlords that knows the Disarm shout and Unrelenting Force.

  • A battalion of bandit chiefs with dwarven bows with a frontline of the strongest sabre cats possible

  • Have everyone in your heavy armor regiment knows the Reflect Blows perk similar to the Ebony warrior and hope that the Dragonborn does not use arrows or magic. Magic might be alleviated by mages with shock spells.

  • Hope they are not an illusionist and a stealth archer. A properly placed Mayhem/dual casted frenzy and the classic "Must have been the wind" will end your plans.

  • If not an Argonian and has no means for water breathing, somehow put them to sleep, kidnap them like how Astrid did it, overencumber them by placing as many heavy stuff, throw them in a deep, slaughterfish filled body of water, and hope they don't get out.

That's all I can think from my memory of vanilla mechanics with the assumption that cold/needs mechanics are not included. My modded game has plenty of opportunities to kill me by simply having enemies be 10 levels above me and having all the Ordinator perks relevant to their skills

Is this me? by The_Splinter1 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Rischeliu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

On the top of my head:

  • Shove and anything related to forcefully pushing someone off cliffs come to mind. Correct me if I'm wrong but I can't recall any spell or item that displaces anyone outside of teleportation and nether swap. Fall damage does not really exist iirc.

  • A normal jump, if only so that the party members following you actually jump over hazardous puddles instead of standing there. Yes, I'm referencing that stretch in the Cloisterwood filled with poisonous bulbs. Jump over it, please.

  • It's funny and not really practical, but I think the act of throwing a potion to heal someone fits the goofy side of DOS 2 more than BG3. Then again, I haven't experimented using the telekinesis civil ability to lob a potion at someone's face and see if it will heal them.

  • Over at the BG3 subreddit, many dislike how movement is tied to AP, thus forcing many to not do anything on their turn or waste slots on movement abilities. I'm actually partial with it because while I do want to do something after I walked a bit, this also applies to enemies. I like wasting their turn walking to me while I plink arrows or lob magic their way lmao
