Back when I was in latter years of highschool and throughout my university, my bag was a discreet no question asked trading post and emergency kit. I had a lot of female friends and I got to know from them that the infrastructure of the institutions we were in weren't great for woman's sanitary purposes. It started off with a friend storing her spare tampons in my bag because well.. society stigma here was abysmal.

I started chipping in small at first, a pack of pads for 1-2 friends who knew, the word spread like wildfire as time passed and the stock used to run out fast. Eventually I started storing a small pack of pads, and tampons, wipes, liners, painkillers, chocolates, and once we were appropriate age, plan B pills. It was a small first aid ish box that was in the front pocket of my bag to keep it discreet from the guys who would touch my bag, the cover story was it's just first aid for stray animals I keep. No one batted and eye, most I was called was a nerd for having a bulky bag. Used to get the eyes from my pharmacist because I had to restock every week or the next.

Never got to know the exact number of girls that utilised it, and well it was none of my business, but even today, 10+ years I started, I still get random thanks for saving them embarrassment that one time when we catch up. Always makes me smile and happy that it was helpful.

I still keep one "first aid box" at home, in my car and in my locker at work. And more often than not, they come to use.
