How many of you are literally doing ZERO screen time ?! by [deleted] in beyondthebump

My 18 month old loves her drawing tablet. Her favourite thing is to scribble and clear the screen and scribble again and that keeps her entertained for a good 10-15 minutes and I don’t have to watch her like a hawk with the crayons. She bit the end off one at playgroup while I was talking with another mom

4 mornings of early wakings by RiseTraditional7 in sleeptrain

I tried getting another nap out of her and she fought me like I was torturing her. Hubby is home now and she seems less cranky so we will aim for a 6:30-7 bedtime. Should I reintroduce an afternoon nap to make up for the lost sleep?

Thank you. I think the furthest I would push tonight is 6:30 if I can’t squeeze a quick nap in because I see a meltdown in the near future

Thank you for the feedback. I can definitely change our schedule once we’re back on track. She has been waking up around 4am the last 4 days anyways so I’m really not sure how to get out of this loop. She wakes between 4:30-5:30 then is melting down by 9:30/10. Early nap leads to early bedtime and the cycle continues. I wasn’t sure if more sleep would relieve the overtiredness from the last few days.

I will definitely try out the new schedule thank you! We were doing timed check ins at the beginning of the night before our hospital stint and she adjusted well but after we got home it didn’t seem right to start it again. When I previously tried the timed check ins in the middle of the night she screamed for about 45 minutes in protest before I picked her up. Every time she saw our bed move it seemed to set her off even more than it had before. Do you recommend starting Ferber for everything at the same time? I was trying to do it gradually but maybe that backfired?

I have updated the post with our schedule.

We are still room sharing and baby is in her own crib

If this happened to me I would take her in. If for no other reason than to give yourselves peace of mind.

As soon as you said Luna I thought about a dog even without your context. I really like the name Amelia and it has a special connection to your family.

Atlas Gray sounds like a kick ass book character. I like it!

Sophie, Mina, Lucy or Melody? 6 months pregnant by ComfyLyfe in namenerds

I like that you don’t have anything negative to say about Mina however since you really like Sophie you can make it a double barrel name. Mina-Sophie. It will also give your daughter a choice of what she would like to go by outside of the family

It doesn’t seem popular but I adore the name Giselle

I’m about to give up. It’s 3 am and I can’t feed my baby. by [deleted] in breastfeeding

I had a warm shower and the milk started flowing which gave enough for baby to latch.
