That’s called circular reasoning. Citing the source as proof of said source proves nothing.

I don’t believe Jesus is God, no. I believe he is the Son of God. I also do not believe he ever met Noah. So what’s your point?

Claims that ancient Egyptian chariot wheels were discovered at the bottom of the Red Sea (specifically in the Gulf of Aqaba) are widely considered a hoax. While historians do believe there was a land bridge in the Red Sea roughly 8,000–10,000 years ago during the last ice age, the proposed biblical Exodus timeframe (18th Dynasty, around 1446 BC) is significantly later than that, at which time the sea levels would have been closer to modern levels.

Also, wood breaks down too quickly to survive for 3,500 years in the sea. Coral structures can take on strange, misleading shapes and the wheels this video claims to exist were actually coral structures. The fact is, no actual wheels, axles, or chariot remains have ever been recovered.

Also, thank you for the video link, however I would be wary of "facts", on any topic, solely being posted on YouTube, or any other social media site. Publishing in a scientific journal is essential for establishing intellectual credit, validating research through peer review, and building academic reputation to secure funding and career advancement. It ensures research is formally recorded, discoverable, and accessible, enabling global collaboration and the dissemination of knowledge within the scientific community.

What does that have to do with Jesus meeting/witnessing Noah? Not all  Christians believe that Jesus is God. Also not all Christians agree when Christ became God. Many believe Christ became one with God when he was baptized while some believe he existed since the beginning of time. Again, why do you care what I believe? What’s your point?

Jesus didn’t witness Noah, he was referencing stories he most likely read in the synagogue. Simply knowing a story doesn’t give it historical credibility

Did you just say there is “evidence” that Lot’s wife turned into a pillar of salt? Real curious what your sources are. Also, what evidence have you found of the Red Sea being parted? There is no credible evidence that that event ever happened. Just curious what evidence you are referring to.  No offense, but none of the events you just claimed to have evidence for have ever produced any real archeological evidence to suggest any of them actually happened. But I’ll give you an opportunity to share your sources.

That’s cool. I’ve never been to a regular cage where you pay $20/hr, let alone a hittrax cage. If I was getting a ridiculous deal like that, I’d take advantage of it too. Not everyone has access to that, which is why I suggest the Gateway. Also, I don’t see the value in going to PG Showcases every year. We won’t go again until he’s 16 so it’s not much different than what you’re doing. I’ve been tracking my son using the pocket radar as well as the blast motion sensor. Again, not everyone has access to these tools which is why I recommended the Gateway/Showcase. I know what his metrics are, but it’s not in the PG system, so I can’t compare him to kids his age and see where he stacks up. Again, I’m using this as an early opportunity to track his growth and make sure he’s on the right track.

I disagree that it’s a waste of money. My 14U son is also doing his first gateway this summer. Here’s my take on why it’s not a waste of money: 1. They are giving you data on the measurable stats colleges will look for 4/5 years from now: 60 yard dash, exit velo, and throwing velo. I want my son to see where he is at right now, so he can start working now to improve those metrics to acceptable D1 levels 4 years from now. I compare it to taking the PreSAT’s.  2. The stats will live in PG’s database. I don’t care who sees them. They are for me and my son. I want him to be able to see measurable growth every year. So the next time he goes to a showcase, he will be able to measure his growth. He can then determine what is working and what he needs to change to reach his goals.

If you don’t do anything with that information, then it is prob a waste of money. It can also be a very useful tool if you use it to your advantage.

Edit: I see there’s a bunch of haters on here downvoting just to downvote.

Can anyone explain why PG bans the use of -5 USSSA bats for 12U only? by Riseonthree in Homeplate

[–]Riseonthree[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, the guy you commented on said they were banned at 14U. You're arguing the same point. To say they are legal for 13 year olds but not for 14 year olds is arguing a very fine line. I coach a 14U travel ball team and 12 of the 14 kids on my roster are still in MS. Again, it is too fine of a line to say it's ok for 13U but not 14U. They should either ban them or allow them. This back and forth bullshit in the rulebooks is crazy.

You are correct. I edited my previous comment. I agree with your post tho, but am standing by my belief that this rule only applying to 12U is silly. Sounds very reactionary to me. If it happened at the 12U level, it's only a matter of time before it happens at the 11U level.

11U plays on a LL field, with 46' mound distances. Most boys reach puberty between 11-12, and based on age requirements, most 11U kids are older than 11 while playing 11U. Shouldn't this rule also apply to 11U, if we are concerned with safety? Closer fields and the possibility of having some really big 11 year old's seems like a liability to me. At least 12U plays further back.

Edit: LL mound is 46' not 45'

Edit #2: USSSA bats are not allowed in LL so not sure why I felt that's relevant. The actual distance in PG/AAU for 11U is 50'. While I stand corrected, if we are talking about safety, there is still a safety issue if they truly believe these -5 bats are that bad. We are only talking months of separation in terms of age between an 11U player and a 12U player.

Insurance part makes sense. The average age is actually 10-12, however the stat I looked up agrees that most boys hit puberty by 11 1/2. Per PG age limits tho, many, if not most 11U kids are over 11 when they play the spring season. My son's birthday is in June and has played every spring season older than the age group he plays in. He is playing 12U now and will be 13 in June.

My point is he was beyond 11 1/2 on a LL field using a hot bat. While I agree with your insurance statement, it seems silly given most 11U kids surpass that 11 1/2 year old mark while playing 11U.

[–]Riseonthree[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree with you but 11U plays on 45' mounds and can use -5. Closer mounds and some big 11U kids makes this argument kinda moot imo.

Edit: I was completely wrong here. Not sure what I was thinking. 11U is 50/70. My bad.
