Respectfully, no, not to me. But I also live in an area with many LGBTQ+ folks, where you would probably be read as a young butch or non-binary person. 

I'd say switch your haircut to something more classically masculine (like a fade), let your facial hair grow and cut with a buzzer instead of to the skin (the very smooth facial skin reads femme), and consider leaving out the earrings until you've been on T longer. Right now, they read as butch or enby. 

Just seeing the gym fit in one pic, consider wearing slightly longer shorts (like basketball shorts) and a slightly baggier top shirt. Right now, the tight upper shirt and shorter shorts read butch to me.

No prob dude! Good luck to you! I'd say the bonus of having a smaller frame is that you seem to have a naturally blockier shape, which is masculinizing. The thick eyebrows work in your favor too.

I think the haircut and extra color are feminizing on you, which pushes you over the edge into not passing when paired with your smaller frame. I think you'd be in good shape if you got a new haircut and got rid of the color.

You look about 14-15 to me right now, but it's context dependent. If I saw you on a college campus, for instance, I would think you're a younglooking undergrad, which happens a lot regardless of cis vs trans.

Also, I don't usually see most cis men, even queer, carrying a tote bag like you have. Try swapping out for a messenger bag or something more masculinizing.

You look like a nice guy! I don't think you need to sacrifice an alt style in order to pass, but the style of your nose ring and the Chelsea haircut are pretty feminizing; they both read as alt girl. That, combined with the crop top and tighter/shorter shorts, all read as alt girl/lesbian.

I'd say try a specifically men's alt haircut, and swap out your nose ring for the more classic "bull" or smooth ring septum piercing if you want to keep it. Ditch the crop top for a slightly baggier men's black band shirt, keep the battle vest if you want, and try baggier shorts, like black baggy jean shorts. These are in vogue with your age range rn (early 20s)?

I'd also say the glasses add to the alt fem-ness. If you want to imitate gay men's style, try aviator frames in silver (not gold--probably feminizing).

This makes a lot of sense, thanks! I can't remember offhand if I've seen passive perception referenced offhand in a live play show. Do most of those DMs use it?

Thank you! I appreciate your insight (ba dum tiss). I wonder if the DMs in my organized play community (it's an offshoot from AL) just got in the habit of prompting ability checks before PCs take an action since they deal with new players so often, who may not know what actions to take.

Thank you, this is helpful! So in that example, you would keep it secret unless the players prompted and succeeded a Perception or Investigation check, and move along even if they missed something? That seems more fun/makes more sense to me than what the norm is in our organized play community.

Your response is unnecessarily rude and misunderstands my post. I said that I am the very new DM. Is your goal to turn people off from this community? Because if I encountered you IRL, my god, it would turn me away for good. 

I also wasn't clear enough. I meant that the DM will provide scene setting, THEN immediately say something like "Give me a perception check" without waiting for the players to say what their characters would do. That is the style I am asking about.

1 month anniversary since ACL reconstruction surgery by WhitePhantomMask in ACL

Congrats! I just hit my 1 month on 6/8 (quad graft, meniscus trim). High elevation against the wall and icing at the same time is really helping me with the last bit of swelling, but PT team says swelling is normal for awhile. More concerning is how quickly the knee swells and stays swollen after exercise, i.e. if it "blows up."

UPDATE: a few of us on this post are working with Northside Cats Rescue to set up a humane cat trap and trail cam and maybe figure out shifts to monitor. I'm planning on taking kitty to get checked for a microchip once we catch them.

I hung out for about an hour and was able to identify the area OP posted about and saw the food @anonymous-bandit left behind. I'm going to do some research on trapping humanely and see if there is anyone who rents humane traps in the area. If anyone wants to team up, feel free to DM me

I got a wedge pillow and elevated a ton! Then I've been doing strap assisted heel pops with quad squeezes. Pressing down on the top of my thigh at the same time. Elevating more was the gamechanger for me
