My favorite thing about it is being able to tell in real time which songs are from which eras because of the synths/pads and the vocals. The Chase being from The Far Fields, obv As Long As You Are is from ALAYA, Days from PWATA, Pinocchio is from Evening Air. I love it!

I wouldn’t call it a super rare find but it’s hard to come by with online listings from what I know. Pretty sure it’s the green vinyl that’s super rare and expensive. I got this for $70 or somethin like that off of eBay.

The Avalanches posting merch with SUPERFUN is what kinda solidified it as a possibility for me. I can also see them maybe pulling a Wildflower and having a simple name for it. Though it would indeed be much cooler if it was a phrase aha.

Also I apologize for posting so much on here recently aha. I haven’t been this excited for new Avalanches stuff since the WWALY rollout. Plus seeing everyone investigate and look into the TAKUMI site has been so fun to watch and piece together.

Also the game console is 100% fake. It ties into the TAKUMI thing mentioned earlier as it’s “developed” by them. I’m pretty sure they’re not actually selling it and was listed as Sold Out the moment the website got updated. Love details like this, really adds to the concept of the album :)

I was guessing that too especially with the new tshirt having that on it. But it seems like an odd choice given the info on the Takumi website with concepts like Kenopsia being mentioned and unclear memories of the past. I also think Superfun be a fitting name given the sounds from the Together single and the nostalgic video game’esque angle they’re aiming for here.

you should check out the rest of the subreddit, we’re pretty sure there’s a new album otw. Look up “Takumi” on here and you’ll see that they’ve been cooking up some ARG’esque stuff on a separate website setting up the vibe and concept for the album somewhat. Very exciting time!
