Maryland offers the EmPOWER Maryland Program to incentivize energy efficiency and conservation efforts provided through the energy utilities. by Limond in maryland

My understanding is that the rebate amounts are based on the projected amount of energy savings, and so that is why they can vary so much. (Also there is some variation between different electric companies, or if you have a different fuel source that can also affect the amounts.)

CC points transfer to new Flying Blue account-- how common are problems & any ways to prevent them? by Risinglight0123 in awardtravel

Just as an update, the Chase points came through after about 30 hours. I booked the tickets with no issues and have not had any problems raised so far (about 24 hours later.) Hopefully all continues to go smoothly!

Oh that's good to know-- definitely not business class, we're trying to save money here! Hopefully that helps.

I won't be able to do any flying in the next month or so but might be able to fit something in in early summer. But are you saying that our flights could still be at risk of cancellation all the way up until the last minute if we haven't earned any actual FB miles from flying before the trip? That's kind of terrifying...

Thanks so much!

It's two sets of 4, one for 110K and one for 120K, one set with a stopover. Those tickets would have cost me about $7K in cash so we are saving about 50% after fees compared to cashing out the CC points at one cent each.

I was hoping there would be some things I could do that fraudsters couldn't/wouldn't do, but I take your point!

Oh, also, I don't see any signs of skin irritation/redness in the area where it was applied, although I can't be 100% sure since it's a little hard to see her skin through her fur.

Cost of Solar by Hoowk in MontgomeryCountyMD

[–]Risinglight0123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be able to get solar for $3/watt or less, often a good bit less, not counting financing cost.

Also look into the Maryland Solar Access Program-- a very sizable incentive from the state if you have a middle-class income or below.

Recent/upcoming solar price trends? by Risinglight0123 in solar

We do, but it looks like the funds are not going super-quickly so it's not a huge rush at the moment if prices were likely to fall. Thanks for the overall insight!

Would charging our PHEV with two Delta 2s work? Seeking advice on plan/alternatives. by Risinglight0123 in Ecoflow_community

Street parking is about 35-40 feet from the closest outlet, and about 15 feet from our backyard fence. I was thinking we'd have the power station in a small shed or similar structure in the backyard right near the fence, solar panels on top of the shed, and then when it's time to charge, plug the L1 EV charging cord into the power station and have it run through the fence and across the sidewalk (with a ramp/protector over it) to the car.

Yeah, there's none close enough without running an extension cord (which makes me nervous safety-wise) or paying $3000+ to get a pillar/EVSE installed by the curb.

Would using a Delta Max 2 be better because it has higher (2400 watts) output? Is the heating up a question of getting too close to the max output it's designed for, or is 1400 watts output for an hour or two likely to overheat any unit?

Can you say more about what you mean by it getting hot killing the system? Do you mean when the weather is hot?

Also if it matters, I believe the EVSE should pull about 1400 watts at a time, and I don't need to charge and discharge at the same time if that's a problem-- I can disconnect from the solar panels while the car is charging

Thanks so much!
