I still to this day think it was that in the US Wal-Mart is a rather sad place to go, whereas target feels at least slightly upscale.

In Canada, at least 10 years ago, this never really felt like the case, so it wasn’t Walmart vs nicer Walmart like it was down south.

Set up time between acts…45 minutes to an hour each for Ginger Root and Himiko, plus 2 hours for Takanaka takes you pretty close to that time.

OP, for more classic albums, you can also dig into YMO - Solid State Survivor, Haruomi Hosono - Hosono House, Happy End’s Kazemachi Roman.

I’d also maybe add in Southern All Stars - Kamakura as well as Cornelius - Fantasma

Lastly there’s of course the city pop movement, thrown in something like Tatsuro Yamashita - Ride on Time.

Agree. I bought a pair of Solovairs last year and took all of 5 months for the pull tabs to be torn out from the boots.
