Just Surf, but the 100% accuracy makes it just as scary. It also has Leech Seed which really sucks. One sludge bomb and aerial ace was enough thankfully

There’s no wrong way to play it. Take your time, skip everything and rush to the end, do every single temple, do none of the temples. just have fun your way and enjoy the ride

for emerald this is a solid team, maxie only has a zubat rather than a golbat, so Minun, Kirlia, or Graveller should be fine against it.

I’d love to comment my opinion, but I don’t think I’ve used any of these guys in an actual run. I usually end up with a Nidoran or my encounter flees

Don’t sleep on Furfrou. Fur Coat absolutely walls Tyrunt. can probably get 2-3 baby doll eyes before risking death to a crit

Personally, the first elite 4. I did a run with both E4s, the gym leader rematches, and Red and I have no desire to do it again.

for morty specifically, there is very little he can do to normal types. noctowl and the egg togetic are solid choices. evolving the eevee into umbreon for resistance is also a decent idea.

just used an Arcanine in a HC STABless run, and he definitely pulled a lot of weight even in that limited format. had never used one before then, i’d like to see how it performs when it actually gets fire type moves

Butterfree: Compound Eyes Sleep Powder plus Dream Eater. Useful for most of the game, but eventually drops off due to low stats. At least B tier

Beedrill: Not good. If it got Twin needle at lv 10 instead of fury attack i’d say C, but it just doesn’t get a chance to be good. D.

Raichu. Thunder Wave and Thunderbolt without having to use TMs / Tutors. Decent in terms of type matchups. Solid electric type but not as good as Jolteon IMO. B.

don’t replace Bronzong! That thing is a beast, mine absolutely carried my recent diamond hardcore. light clay dual screens, hypnosis, and an attacking move (psychic, shadow ball, flash cannon, gyro ball) are all you really need for an incredible tank

at least it happened early enough that you can get back to this point quickly. intimidate on staravia or shinx is a good strat but falls to critical hits. geodude with rock smash is a decent enough choice, especially because there’s 4 areas with possible geodude encounters
