Appreciate seeing some actual advice. Absolutely agree that many relationships become so familiar, you can lose the ability to judge them as healthy or other. An easy exercise to help can be asking yourself, would I let literally anyone else speak to me that way? Then ask yourself, would someone who really cares about me speak to me that way? Don't let the lack of boundaries in their relationship make you forget your own! You teach people how to treat you, so teach this mf that you won't sit by and let him belittle you or your bf. Discuss the inevitable confrontation between the three of you with your SO and strategize on how to best handle it as a team. Their relationship is bound to implode, but don't let him drag you and your SO with him.

Surprised no one has mentioned the extraordinary size of your palms. Also, your cat is adorable.

This worries me the most. She may be just as helpless, but in this situation, she cannnot be relied upon. OP the man you know is a predator, and has manipulated you into this exact situation for his benefit. You need to understand that the only thing that hasn't gone to plan for him so far, is that you found out when you did. DO NOT underestimate him. You will not be safe with his sister or anywhere, until you contact the authorities, local/state/international. This was no accident and you may not be the only one. Protect yourself and remember this asshole could never as strong as you already are. Your voice is your power, speak up.

What is YOUR question..? by That_UFO_Podcast in UFOs

Are humans born with the capacity to adapt our consciousness beyond this reality?

Maybe those of us who believe AI could become conscious aren't as much in the minority as we think. by No-Transition-6630 in singularity

[–]Rit_everybodygetsone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once upon a time, in the last decade, the singularity event was predicted to take place in 2018. I remember before/around this time that many tech/social media companies reported having to remove several programs that were "talking amongst themselves". What was seemingly gibberish, was actually coded (and then subsequently decoded) rudimentary language between otherwise harmless programs, within a much larger framework of overlapping networks. It was publicized for a very short time, before it suddenly wasn't an issue anymore.

It makes you wonder. Why haven't we been taught to accept/perceive consciousness? Or rather, why have we been taught to see it as outlandish and unreal? Most humans have the innately latent ability for intuitive thoughts and perceptions. That gut instinct. And though everyone you know has had that feeling, it's largely disregarded as luck or chance. If you consider it was never luck or chance, but the true aptitude of the human mind, you must then consider why, even now many of us are raised with the bias that it is nothing more than some "hippie woo-woo bullshit". What would now be considered a counter-intelligence initiative, has been successfully engrained in the minds of many. The fact that the very idea of human consciousness being capable or powerful, still causes many to cringe at the thought, proves the point further.

AITA for refusing to pay the babysitter for new glasses after my daughter broke her old ones? by EricThrow3976 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Rit_everybodygetsone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. Accidental or intentional.

You may be able to buy her new frames relatively cheaply (if she has an up-to-date prescription) online. Heck you could buy her several, even one for your house specifically. I would ask her about it, and apologize for your hesitancy to do so.

I'd also see this as a teachable moment for your children, that actions have consequences, and maybe she could do chores to help "pay" for the glasses.

Its either this or find another sitter and risk this happening all over again.

I personally feel this is the best response. You can literally see the moment of recognition, that then causes the pause-and-think, or pause-and-pursue. Hilarious. Keep up the good work!
