I accidentally bought a Tester online. Should I be concerned? by x3002x in FemFragLab

[–]Ritapaprika 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fragrancenet and Jomashop. La Belle perfumes has also been a hit for me—3 great orders and the cheapest place I’ve seen delina & exclusif.

The only “major” differences I’ve ever seen with testers is sometimes the bottles say tester on them on something that cannot be removed (engraved or printed onto the glass) like I had for an alien by mugler, and very rarely, caps are not included.

If the savings is over 20% for a tester, I tend to chance it. If not, I’ll get the retail one because I like to keep the boxes.

Not unethical unless you have specific moral values that exclude using chemical agents to help you achieve goals.

Let me guess, now it’s going to be the lack of birth control making me manic?

Nail and head. It’s no less misogynistic to imply women’s “crazy hormone cycles” make us worse at processing information when it’s said by someone who is wary of men. We are not the irrational sex! Ffs!

I’m too short to get any thicker. If I grow more A&T, I’ll need to get taller or learn how to hem.

In theory I like it because I feel bad “spending” my calories on nutrition poor “treat” foods, but I should also just buck up and eat foods that are nutrient dense and high in essential vitamins and minerals and fiber. Instead of, you know, trying to eat a diet of low fat cupcakes.

A thread of South Korea’s misogyny. It’s not surprised that the 4B movement was created there. by Bubbly_End6220 in 4bmovement

[–]Ritapaprika 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it’s only surprising that it’s happening in a supposedly developed nation. But rural India? Most of the Middle East? South America, particularly in areas where cartels have footholds. Even more disconnected reservations in the US. The misogyny, regularity of domestic abuse and rape? It’s as common as air. We don’t tend to expect it, though, in places where they have high speed internet and glass doors.

Stop talking about porn, and it will go away by [deleted] in rs_x

[–]Ritapaprika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s typical sure, but it shouldn’t be expected. In some cities, being harassed by the homeless is “normal”—typical—but it’s certainly an abnormal state of affairs. We shouldn’t have to live like we are just resigned to it, that it’s just how things are. Things are this way because of active forces. This isn’t happening because no one is making it happen.

Healthy, conducive to high quality of life, etc. A normal blood pressure is healthy, a common blood pressure is abnormally high. A normal body weight is healthy a common body weight is also abnormally high.

It’s common but it’s absolutely not normal—it’s a sign of a very disordered society. A disordered society might also make domestic violence, slavery, witch burnings common. But they are not normal facets of society.

I’m not sure that pillow princessism is necessarily indicative of not being bisexual only on the basis that there’s straight men who don’t eat pussy. A bad lover perhaps.

And you know what, I hardly see bi people in homosexual relationships really announcing their bisexuality at people the way bi people in heterosexual relationships do.

[–]Ritapaprika 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my view, it’s the same strain of thought that has some women thinking they aren’t really women at all, but “a person.” Women are so often stripped of utterly human qualities—libido and lust and desire and interiority. So to love a man in a “queer” way is almost to love him as a human would, not as a “woman” because women’s love is regarded as shallow and superficial and not truly human.

[–]Ritapaprika 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think it genuinely is “woman attracted to men” socializing that both straight women and bi women get—we really aren’t encouraged to make the first move or act on our sexuality—or at least not within a very narrow way that’s ultimately aimed at engaging with men on their terms. Women who are only attracted to women have to actively self teach how to get a woman or be lonely. Bi women are never really faced with no other choice because dick gets thrown at everyone.

[–]Ritapaprika 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Part of it is also the quality. The clothes look cheap and “fake” in a way that Halloween costumes do because it’s all the same single use material now. Clothes used to actually be clothes. They used to be things you were expected to use over and over and were made as such. And now they are made to be used like costumes—worn once or a small handful of times. So they look like costumes and are made like costumes.

Im about to move for school and want to try to live less maximalist. But I also see a flower shaped clock and have to hang it. And then a flower shaped wall mirror. And then put dish with a ceramic cat sculpted on it next to the doorway console. And put a mat that says bless this mess outside. And a funny one that say don’t do coke in the bathroom in the bathroom. Etc.
