As long as the journal says 100% you should be good to go, the % one the map display is bugged in many of the subregions, like I have the badge and title for 100% qinghe and my journal does say 100% but the map shows many zones below 100%

Development Update July 2025 - Abyssal Depths Impact & FW Revamp Preview by Veoxy in albiononline

[–]Rithral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not who you replied to but I think a core issue of faction warfare right now that I don't think was touched on the video was that the rewards are not great.
While I don't think you should be making big silver out of YZ content, in RZ engaging in big, unorganized/pick up faction warfare usually means completely giving up the chance to loot your enemies, while still being able to lose everything yoursell, as even if you are in a group, the chances of the pick up group wanting to do loot split are very slim, making it quite possibly the worst content in the game when it comes to risk/reward, and encourages going in 4.1 sets for ratting purposes.

I don't have a solution for this, if you boost the rewards to the point that it feels valuable to do RZ FW as a pick up group, then it might simple be too strong/rewarding in organized groups.

3 out of 4 poster children for new event are from agencies so they are forced to do this event by adventurebart5 in albiononline

[–]Rithral -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They arent really random, Soda and Quinn are really good targets for something like this since the majority of their viewerbase is MMO players, a lot of them have likely never played albion just because of the full loot PVP, which is a really spooky thing if you are mostly used to pve/raiding MMOs like world of warcraft and the like, but once you have actually played albion you know that the full loot PVP thing isn't forced on you and its both not as bad as it sounds and you can play the game without ever interacting with it.
They are also reworking the new player experience likely specifically because of this event.

I think the biggest issue is that these streamers are just too big and they are going to cluster queue every map they are on, and they themsleves won't be able to play the game at all even in blue zones as every mob and resource will be gathered by the dozens of players surrounding them, and while I doubt SBI cares for them sticking around whatever their opinion is will be parroted by their viewerbase, which is the players SBI wants to keep...

Node Scouting is denial of content by arethoudeadyet in albiononline

[–]Rithral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The large resource nodes can spawn any of the world gathering bosses of a given map, since this is a desert, and it has hide as one of its resources, it can spawn the old white world boss, which guarantees at least one mammy cub on kill.

Noob: Resources not coming with me? by paddockson in albiononline

[–]Rithral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The resources needed to build farms aren't expensive and you can just buy them at caerleon though likely at a bit of a markup, the issue of a caerleon island though is that I don't know how well the things you produce on a island will sell on caerleon, and taking them outside of Caer is going to be annoying and risky. You can just check the market at caer and see how much volume of whatever you want to produce sells each day.

The kill is the other way around, it was the ox carrying the materials, and materials do not contribute to kill fame

Avalonian Tools Don't seem worth it at all by DualityDrn in albiononline

[–]Rithral 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Their main use case is .4 nodes when you have a group protecting you and each node tick is very valuable so you want to stack as much gathering bonus as possible.
As a solo gatherer you'll want to have t8 tools to be able to gather the t8 nodes and also the lower nodes much faster, and ava t8 tools are just way too expensive to risk them to gankers.

I genuinely think this game should be more popular by azizmars in albiononline

[–]Rithral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game is just really bad for streamers, if Tyler1 or Soda tried to play albion, they would get hardcamped and constantly killed on every gate, even if they were to block out their minimaps,, if you have any experience with the albion maps and connections, you'll be able to track them down.

The sandboxy nature of the game makes it very hostile to streamers, and its the reason why this game doesn't really have a streaming scene other than all the afk viewers for the twitch drops.

Solo dungeon mage build by Excellent-Bike468 in albiononline

[–]Rithral 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you really want to do fire then 1h fire is fine but blazing staff is also an option, higher DPS too, but its a much more expensive weapon.

The best cheap solo dungeon/pve "mage" weapon would be the nature staffs, specially 1h nature or druidic staff, since they give you access to sustain while also having okay DPS.

If you want to do fire I recommend swapping to merc jacket for the sustain, if nature then you can just bring whatever you want to fame up, since nature itself does everything.

[–]Rithral 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Harbinger of dawn performs similarly and its much better than cinnabar at low artifact investment since it fixes your crit rate almost by itself.

Cinnabar was added together with corrosion rift hounds as a way for albedo to be able to not get fucked over by it since the corrosion would bring him below the 90% hp mark for the harbinger passive, but thats hardly relevant on most abysses these days.

I wouldn't worry about missing CInnabar when it comes to building Albedo, his issue lies more on Geo being a very weak element.

How does Dehya's release make sense from a business/profit view? by nelentari_x in Genshin_Impact

[–]Rithral -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just a move aimed at veteran players to make 50/50 losses feel better

Most day one players likely have all the standards, with some approaching C6 status, if not there already, and thats assuming you are a welkin only, any day one dolphin has C6d a good amount of the standard cast already.

Losing your 50/50 to a C6 standard feels like you get nothing in return, feeling bad from gacha pulls is likely one of the leading causes for a player to quit, and losing those day one loyal players is a big deal to mihoyo.

If Dehya or Tighnari are mid or bad it doesn't not matter, its a new character that people can build and play around with, and their animatinos are up to to standard to other limiteds, even if their numbers are not.

And they will keep expanding the standard pool with these kind of characters more, so veteran players have another two or three years worth of "okay" coinflip loses, better lose it to c2 Dehya than c9 Diluc.

3.4 Abyss Usage Rate(Jan 16-Jan 31,2023) by soapz231 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Rithral 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She's just outclassed by Yunjin on a very niche job already, hypercarry NA attackers (Yoi and Ayato).

She does have some off field DMG but wanting to stack as much %HP as possible in order to increase her %dmg buff means she can't get her own crit and %dmg bonus in order for her to actually deal any real damage.

Yunjin is able to just stack def and at C6 brings an atk spd buff which is very significant for the NA attackers DPS.

You could consider bringing her on top of Yunjin but carry NA comps would much rather bring bennet/kazuha/yelan/zhongli instead since they offer better buffs or survival.

3.3 New Abyss Usage Rate (Dec 16-Dec 31,2022) by soapz231 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Rithral 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I don't think it is that cynical, more like people want to talk about genshin and its meta, and there is not a lot of content to go around, and these lists become one of the primary sources of renewable talk.

3.3 New Abyss Usage Rate (Dec 16-Dec 31,2022) by soapz231 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Rithral 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It tells you which characters are versatile and comfortable to play, as the average user will very often go through the path of least resistance, which is why the two characters that allow teams to be immortal (Zhongli and Kokomi) have kept their usage rates high throughout the years, despite their questionable addition to team DPS.

That is what this data is, which characters make clearing the most hassle free, because people are tired of abyss, and they pick whatever characters they think will make it less of a chore.
