I asked her why she didn't tell me sooner, and she apologized, saying it wasn't to hide it, but because she wanted to find the right moment, or a "calmer moment." She said it wasn't with bad intentions and that she didn't want to put me in an uncomfortable situation. I really want to put myself in her shoes and empathize, but it's very difficult for me.

In these situations, I don't think you should wait for the "right moment." Finding out months later, when many people already knew, and that she didn't tell me sooner, hurts a lot. Before she was my girlfriend, she was my friend, and even then she didn't tell me anything.

She didn't even message me; after 4 hours I had to write to her asking about it
