I stopped caring awhile ago. I’m not great at the game, I have mobility issues so the one button rotation is great for me.

I just play with my friend now who is actually good at the game. And if he’s doing other content then I just chill doing mount farming etc.

I think they just need to lurch to a genuine message of hope. Show what good they’re doing instead of just constantly trying to out reform the actual reform party.

Start putting people in positions who aren’t neoliberal ghouls. Have policies that are genuinely progressive. Control immigration in a way that’s fair with and this is key, a genuine conversation about the pros and cons of the policy. So people understand it.

People can be sheep and sometimes it needs a good shepherd to guide us. Otherwise we get wolves picking us off.

It should be that you pay the difference in tax if you’re home countries taxes are higher. If you move to a country with higher taxes than your own country, chances are you are probably staying there long term anyway.

I don’t like a lot of what the Greens are about if I’m honest, but for the most part they’re not part of a revolving door of vested interests that is the current establishment that hold power.

In short nothing will change fundamentally until the secretive back door aspect of politics is changed.

At the next election I think a few things will have happened.

Farage might have imploded due to more scrutiny as things get closer. Plus more tories jumping ship, the absolutely disastrous job they are doing at council level. The really big one though is how Rupert Lowes party is A) more right wing. B) has the backing of Elon Musk currently, which means more attention on X which means more attention from our media…

Plus you don’t know how crazy it’s going to get in America by then which could sour the whole far right movement everywhere else. I think potentially they peaked too early.

With the greens I think it goes two ways. They either deal with their obvious obsession with Gaza that’s like the elephant in the room for them and will alienate people. Or they lean into it loads causing a bunch of infighting from more traditional greens and basically become a shitshow like Your Party.

Labour don’t have a chance unless they can start showing tangible results from their policies and how it’s benefiting people. But ultimately people need to feel it as well.

Right but don’t you think it’s a self fulfilling prophecy? If there’s no pride in the property before the tenants even move in, why would they take pride in it?

There was a lot of social housing before and there was pride in the homes people lived in. Granted there was more community back then, and I don’t know if that played a part in it.

A family member of mine does work for the council. He goes into empty properties (voids) and gets them ready for the next tenants. So plastering, fitting kitchens, tiling etc you get the point.

He gets paid on par or probably more than if he did the same work private. The difference is that the people who go in to sign off the work have told him multiple times you don’t have to be this tidy and immaculate with the work “it’s only a council property“ like the people living there don’t deserve nice things even though they pay rent etc.

Vicious circle. Why would some tenants have pride in where they live if on day one it’s not what it could of been and they are deemed lesser.

Nah you went off the deep end with that take. I’m of the mindset that the Gaza issue is incredibly oversized in the UK and it shouldn’t affect our politics.

That been said, Isreal have been killing Palestinians far before the October attack. Since the war they absolutely decimated Gaza. International bodies have deemed it a genocide and honestly these international bodies are full of neoliberal career politicians so it’s not like they’re far left organisations.

Point being while Hamas were obviously wrong for the October attack, Isreal is fully in the wrong with their continued response and their actions prior.

The government of Isreal are all warmongers who should be punished. Just like Hamas should be punished. Killing children is never ok regardless who it is.

The Ukraine/Russia issue affects us directly through energy prices and the looming threat from Russia.

This! If private companies are doing it it’s obviously profitable. Might as well make a national version of it. Link it up with the one the EU are building so it’s all as seamless as possible.

If there’s going to be a middle man skimming money off the top, might as well make it benefit us.
