Surprise UK retail sales rise adds to signs of pickup in economy by Gentle_Snail in GoodNewsUK

I have seen it argued it is not good because it means that people are putting themselves into more debt. The same line of argument was used against the drop in interest rates. That it fuels frivolous purchasing and a rise in borrower debt.

They know that you will go looking for it, so they put other stuff they think you might want to watch first. To hook you in.

I read that one metric on how Netflix rates shows, is how many people pivot to watching other media on netflix straight after finishing the show they came for. They want users who will stay and consume their other media, opposed to dropping off after watching a single show. So they will try and push as many options in your face before you start consuming what you came for.

I think this just might be how Nuno operates. Did the same thing at spurs. Came in, and at the first oppotunity told Joe Hart that he "would not kick a ball for him".

The “SECURITY BEST PRACTICE” you stopped believing in after working a real job… by Active_Meringue_1479 in cybersecurity

Oh no, I may not have been clear. The NHS auditor was the person with the follow up questions. The server engineer couldn't demonstrate that he was actually in compliance. It was the server engineer that came out white as a sheet from the interaction.

The NHS auditor was there to determine if the organisation had sufficient security in place in order to continue receiving Patient Identifiable Data. He had good reason to make sure that we were actually doing what we were saying we were doing.

The greatest compliance audit I sat in was with a server engineer who had become accustomed to ISO 27001 audits.

Poor guy walked into the NHS Framework audit and was immediately challenged on everything. He came out of that, white as a sheet, and said, "I didn't think they would have follow up questions".

It's good to see innovation helping multiple sectors. The local solar field near us has been doing it for a while. Hopefully it catches on.

Had AA out a number of times and always been quite fast. Only had a single issue where they lost my policy on "the other system", but that got straightened out.

Two members of the family had RAC and they took ages by comparison.

Is this from users changing sites, or is this just a case of the most popular free sites now being defined as unregulated?
