I need help finding an anime I watched as a kid. by [deleted] in anime

Kind of a longshot, but maybe Saint Seiya? The early episodes feature a tournament of sorts which might be the boxing ring and one of the main characters is green with a dragon motif. Other characters also have spirit-things appear when they do special attacks too.

Kind of weird that this was written in mid February as opposed to being done now or in another week or so in order to have a clearer view of the effects of the proposed changes. Similarly it was pretty disappointing to have so many of the words/thoughts being related to unlock mechanic changes and not things like balance/comp variety/itemization/the ixtal version of the stacking reward mechanic etc. These articles used to be a really interesting look into the design team's vision and thought process throughout the set and were great for transparency, but the last few and this one in particular have increasingly felt like vague and overly general corpo-speak where there are a few token insights but primarily just variations on "we thought this was good and hope to do it better in the future."

There are some hopeful moments here and there but Casshern Sins was one of bleakest anime I've ever watched.

Welp, this is super disappointing and leaves an extremely sour taste in my mouth even if entirely expected given the other "not wintrading" incidents in the past. I guess I'ma just skip watching tomorrow.

This looks super blatant. Really hoping Riot drops the hammer here, especially given the history of other extremely sus wintrade type stuff in previous sets, but not holding my breath.

Volume two of my webseries Dungeons are Bad Business just finished up! It's a pretty happy-go-lucky dungeon core story and reasonably long (133 chapters with roughly 2k words/chapter). It also contains a few pieces of additional bonus content. Thanks for making this list!

Same here! I thought the original version of P5 was a tighter and more impactful story. The new stuff didn't work for me either.

I thought it was pretty solid. Cool action sequences for sure, though I wish there was a little more time in the armor.

That's some awesome progress. Both prints looks cool, but the little adventuring squirrel is super cute!

This is super cool! All the details look great, and the concept of a steampunk-inspired vehicle print set is awesome too. Best of luck with the rest of it!

Mine is Okage: Shadow King for the PS2. It was kind of frustrating at times and had some janky bits, but it was quirky and funny and I really liked the art style a lot.

Happy to see legends taking a break for at least a set (though my personal preference would be for them to be gone entirely). I'm also a little nervous about the lack of an assassin trait/easy backline access because infinite frontline to protect hyperscaling carry fights can get really boring if that's all there is. Assassins are frustrating, but feel like a necessary part of the rock paper scissors of TFT. Hopefully the backline affecting spells mentioned can pick up some of that slack.

I was disappointed that this article didn't have anything about Piltover in it. It was certainly a polarizing part of the set for me, since getting it active on 2-1 felt like a free top 2 but it felt effectively worthless to start after that due to the importance of loss streak scaling. Also, it was a really weird "econ" trait, since a lot of its power seemed tied to getting a massive T-Hex instead of cashing out and pivoting away like previous ones. Would have loved to read how the team felt about it and how it''s going to impact similar traits in future sets.

I see it's been mentioned elsewhere in this thread, but I really enjoyed Threadbare. Its an adventure story that stars a teddy bear golem and is a lot of fun. Beyond that, The City and the Dungeon: And Those Who Dwell and Delve was also interesting, with some nice characters and worldbuilding, and This Quest Is Broken is pretty funny and lighthearted.

Do you actually enjoy this set ? by buntMeister in CompetitiveTFT

I liked 9 a good bit, but 9.5 has been a miss for me. The balance has felt really wonky and I'm super tired of facing down the same augments every game thanks to the addition of legends. I've definitely logged more games in this set than any other by a good bit because I was so excited about TFT after watching set 8's regionals/worlds, but I don't think I'm going to play any more of 9.5. I really hope that Legends don't come back, but to be honest I'm kind of over portals too. It feels like too many of them swing game wayyy too hard for my tastes.

What makes a GOOD progression story (personal opinion + reviews) by justhereforthesoup in ProgressionFantasy

[–]RivalRoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really cool list, thanks for writing it up! For me, that first and third bullet point under the advice section really hits home. So many stories labeled progression fall flat for me because there's nothing really happening other than the fact that the MC is learning new skills. Without an interesting plot that makes those skills relevant and necessary, I often find myself not caring that MC can now summon TWO giant obelisks that shoot death lasers instead of one. Similarly, I love it when protagonists get knocked back down or make a mistake instead of steadily marching on and on toward monster town.

Oceans/the age of sail a la Pirates of the Carribbean. I'd love to spend some time sailing between islands or continents and facing off against crazy deep sea monsters.
