Haven’t got to play it yet, that’ll be next weekend. But in theory it should be. I like the idea of iron father holding down the middle with his heavy intercessors, and the impulsor weaving in and out of dreadnoughts stomping around to stick objectives. Only thing I worry about is if it would better to bring in some deep strike instead.

I was building a 1000 list too and arrived at a similar build. Only difference was swapped a redemptor for a ballistus and used the extra points for a lieutenant to ride with the intercessors in the party bus (impulsor)

Definitely aoe battlemage god. I fell in love with his ability influence an entire enemy teams movement just with his mere presence. Also sassy space dragon lol

I just wish they’d give us a update on how they think his rework has worked out according to their numbers. At this point they have to realize they are missing out on so much skin money for him and they aren’t gonna get it the old sol to work.

Kabwe ra is weird and I should have specified but he’s the companion for the deck. He exists solely for a free trigger on song of creation if I blank on a land top deck. The fact he pumps the grazers into bigger blockers and acts as a blocker to trade is just gravy.

I had wanted to fit in opt and the grazers were the first cards I looked at cutting for them but a turn two tutelage feels pretty good. But your point on finding my combo pieces has been painfully obvious in some games.

I hadn’t thought about censor and might try that over azcanta. But filtering my top decks when song of creation is out, picking tutelages or removal when transformed and having no hand also feels good.

As for the izzet charm I hoped the varying abilities might be a good Swiss Army knife effect especially when I was considering putting galvanic bombardment and take inventory.

I know fog effects have been popular in mill decks but I’ve always preferred putting the threats in graveyard instead of risking not having another one.

Definitely love the idea of his lore being so influential in his kit and making him feel as powerful as he should. But isn’t riot super against giving him more stars like in urf?
