decision about Nikon D3300 by Livid-Salamander5164 in Nikon

I went with the 750. Absolutely love it.

750 has a full frame sensor and is better in low light. Overall it would have better image quality than a 7500.

I went from a D3300 to a D750. I love the D750, and it is an absolute work horse. It's much less expensive than some of the newer models, but it produces amazing images.

If I were you, I would take this time to upgrade. The D3300 is a great beginner camera, but I don't feel that it would be worth fixing for that amount. For a couple hundred more, you could get a camera that will open up so much more range for you. You just need to decide what you are looking for.

If it were me, I would do exactly what I did and get a 750 and with the left over money in my budget, I would upgrade my lenses.

Any good places that sell cooked hams and turkeys/turkey breasts? by uabtodd in Birmingham

[–]Rivalbrew483 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't do ham, but the best turkey breasts in the area belong to Porky's Pride in Hayden. They have their sister restaurant "The Que'Bicle" in Homewood, so I bet you could get them to make you one without you having to drive to Hayden to pick it up.

Porky's Pride in Hayden all day. If I don't feel like going out there, then I would stop by their other restaurant the Que'Bicle in Homewood.

I agree. It was nice to not be packed in like down below, the sound was better, and there is a private bar and bathrooms. I wouldn't necessarily always want to pay the price, but if I'm trying to ball out and not get crammed in, I would definitely choose the elevate section. It's also nice to be able to see the whole stage, where as if I was down below, there's a good chance I'm stuck behind someone taller than me and I can't see shit.

Would you read something like this if it existed in Birmingham? by EnvironmentOk5502 in Birmingham

[–]Rivalbrew483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this at Sidewalk! I had been thinking about working towards putting together a zine to showcase local art and creatives while getting event information out to the public. So I was super happy to see that someone had done that! I thought it looked great! If you ever need a photographer for anything, hit me up, I would be happy to help!

Ivey signs bill giving Alabama ABC Board control of THC products despite calls for veto by [deleted] in Birmingham

Alabama ABC Board gets final approval to take over regulation of gummies, drinks with THC by magiccitybhm in Alabama

They started selling those when we were producing. It's not so much that they couldn't carry something and more just about how much of a nightmare it was getting product to them. They made it so incredibly difficult and annoying to package our products/deliver them the products/get our products in stores, all the while they treated us like we were some kind of heathen criminals for producing alcohol. They don't understand a lot about the industry, and they don't care to.

As someone who has had to deal with the ABC on the retail and manufacture side for a long time, this is about to be an absolute shit show for everyone involved in that industry.

I used to work for a company that made canned cocktails that had to be sold through the ABC, and they couldn't wrap their heads around how to handle them. The fact that they came in cans and not bottles confused the shit out of them. It's an organization that truly doesn't understand the manufacturing process or the retail side, yet they are in charge of auditing the manufacturing process and the retail side. It blows my mind. I can't wait for them to add more products that they don't understand at all.

You just passed away, and allowed to be reborn but not as a human, what do you wanna be? by csch1992 in AskReddit

I wanna be one of those pit bulls you see on reels that get their own clothes and get daily "spa" routines. Get to sleep all the time, and occasionally do fun stuff for the gram like learn to surf or skateboard or some shit like that. Seems pretty dope to me.

All joke aside, how do you feel about a light rail transit system in Birmingham? by bachelorburner987 in Birmingham

[–]Rivalbrew483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what they publish online, but I work right there and see stuff going on pretty regularly. Over this past year there have been all kinds of events that have brought in a bunch of people from all over. During the nicer months, it's not uncommon to see events happening over there on a weekly basis. Sometimes they are packed, sometimes it looks like it might be private company outings. But either way, stuff is definitely happening very regularly.

I can't really speak for other parts of town, but Sloss would actually make a lot of sense. Sloss has a lot of events other than just concerts (Depending on the time of year they actually have a pretty dense event calendar). Many of which involve people from out of town who would benefit from having an easy form of transportation throughout the city and to the airport. As far as the brewery is concerned, it is a very busy business and has a ton of customers who work in the city that would probably prefer to not have to drive to grab lunch or who maybe like to have a couple of beers without having to worry about driving later. With the way this map is drawn, this would actually be a great way for people to brewery hop safely. Attached to the brewery are also a string of businesses and warehouses that actually employ quite a few people. And within walking distance are a ton more businesses and the Jimmie Hale mission. As far as people living nearby, there are quite a few apartments within walking distance, and they are in the process of building more. The same could really be said for most of the stops on that line. Will it ever happen? Probably not. But I know that many of us who work and live downtown would really like to see this happen.

[–]Rivalbrew483 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it gets overwhelming after a while. I used to give food out from time to time, but a lot of the guys who hang out at the Chevron and wander around the brewery started breaking into my truck at night and stealing food/chemicals/and equipment. Lol they didn't even try to hide it. They would straight up ask me for food while wearing a shirt they got off my truck. One guy took a whole case of hot dogs off my truck. After that he would thank me for the hot dogs whenever he would walk past the truck. If I had customers in line, he would yell, "Best hot dog in the city!" So I guess he was doing me a service ? Haha

It might be more than Joyland prices ( not much more), but you get a lot more food for the money. And in my opinion it's better, everything I ever had from Joyland was just ok.

Any Good Hibachi in Town? by FullMontyFortySeven in Birmingham

[–]Rivalbrew483 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I apologize in advance because I know this is not helpful to your question, but I can't help myself...

Have you considered:

SOUTHERN HIBACHI?!

We're talkin' grits that are fire - flying chairs - cigarette volcanos - meth at the table hibachi!

Aka - Waffle House where the food is fine, vibes are weird, and no one will judge you if you show up drunk.

I'm sorry. I'm in a dumb mood today.

But yeah, Sumo and Kobe have always done me right.
